Re: RPI Pick to Click - 2011-12

Congratulations to TuteScrooge. He got an extra point from Peca on Friday and it gave him another extra point (the weekly bonus). This was his second consecutive win, fourth win of the season, and the first that he didn't share with lugnut (I wonder if he's having separation anxiety).

The win helped move TuteScrooge from 10th place to 7th and that was the sum of the movement between posters.

It was another fairly low-scoring week with just one RPI pick generating points.

Silly ginger decided to send his picks to me by text instead of by posting them here. His picks were, and I quote, "cj lee and harvey/O'Grady and berger" Next week I'll yell at him earlier so cnor actually puts his posts in the thread.

The top scorers of the weekend:
Friday:
RPI - Schroeder's goal (REDaero) was worth two points.
Quinnipiac - Rolheiser and Hibbeler each had a goal and assisted on the other's for 3 PtC points. Currie's game-winning powerplay goal was also worth three. None of the three players were chosen.
Saturday:
RPI - Bergin's first period goal and Rabbani's goal and assist were each worth 3 PtC points. Neither was chosen.
Princeton - Andrew Ammon's pair of book-ending goals (nobody) and Rob Kleebaum's pair of penultimate book-ending goals (RPIHFH and TuteScrooge) were each worth 4 PtC points.

lugnut92 It's a good thing he's better at math than he is at PtC. :p Although, maybe I should shut up because he's beating me!

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

Well, they're certainly not setting the world on fire during home games. And, it doesn't get any easier this weekend with a trip to Colgate and Cornell. A strong finish can put RPI up to 10th. They're still guaranteed to be going on the road for the first round of the playoffs, though.

Colgate messed up RPI's night when the Engineers hosted the BRF! a couple weeks ago. That started the Raiders on a three-game winning streak that ended quite abruptly when they got swept up in the North Country this past weekend.

Cornell and RPI tied on national TV in the beginning of the month, which also springboarded the Big Red to an extended unbeaten streak (which is still going).

You may not choose the following players for this weekend:
Rensselaer:
F - Brock Higgs
D - Nick Bailen

Colgate:
F - Austin Smith
D - Jeremy Price

Cornell:
F - Greg Miller
D - Nick D'Agostino

Statistics / Rosters:
Rensselaer: Statistics | Roster
Colgate: Statistics | Roster (beware of J. / K. McNamara confusion)

O'Grady is out of the lineup tonight... I'll take Lee tonight in his place.
