Re: RPI Pick to Click: 2010-2011 Edition

Congratulations go to hawthr, who becomes the new overall leader! This was hawthr's 3rd weekly win, and first since the RPI Holiday Tournament (RIP). No one (that submitted valid picks) finished with less than 2 points.

The correct choices on the weekend were York (cnor and myself), no one (hooray!), Foss (nobody), and Peel (also nobody).

The race at the top of the standings is closing up very quickly. 2 points separate the top 3 places, and all of the top 6 posters have at least 50 points. The biggest gap among consistent posters is the one between the tie for 8th and the tie for 10th place, with a full 7 points. GoDanGo forgetting to submit his picks cost him two spots, as he was passed by both hawthr and myself.

Oh, and cnor, this is for you.

So, Results (and link to Google spreadsheet with cumulative results):

Re: RPI Pick to Click: 2010-2011 Edition

Link back to the title post with details on scoring

RPI and Union both sweep at home against Brown and Yale and take win streaks of at least 3 games into this weekend in Hamden, CT and Princeton, NJ.

All 4 teams are in the top 7 of the ECAC standings and none of the 4 has lost in their past 3 games. Pick wisely, as we're getting towards the homestretch, and every point matters at this point in the game.

You may not choose the following players for this weekend of games:
Rensselaer:
F - Chase Polacek
D - Nick Bailen

Quinnpiac:
F - Jeremy Langlois
D - Loren Barron

Princeton:
F - Andrew Calof
D - Taylor Fedun

Statistics / Rosters:
Rensselaer: Statistics | Roster
Quinnipiac: Statistics | Roster (beware of C. Jones / K. Jones confusion)
Princeton: Statistics | Roster

Re: RPI Pick to Click: 2010-2011 Edition

Friday:
Rensselaer - Tyler Helfrich
Insert obligatory joke about inferior schooling here - Ben Arnt

Saturday:
Tute - Brock Higgs
Are there any other Tiggers that we haven't played yet this season? - Andrew Ammon

Re: RPI Pick to Click: 2010-2011 Edition

The pressure is off. I am no longer leading. Of course, my picks won't improve.

Friday
R: <s>Bergin</s> Higgs
Q: C. Jones

Saturday
R: Helfrich
P: Pallis

Everyone else note: pick Helfrich for the first game and Hicks for the second. I see that burgie knew whom I would pick. ;) I am pretty sure that there are only three teams called Tigers.
