I think AspyDad is totally wrong in his statement of SA being assistant AD.....he actually should have said he needs to be President of the Institute....:) Being an assistant AD and coaching the team is a piece of cake for our great coach. Lets drop the puck already.

Why not President of the US? I'd vote for him over both the candidates the two major parties are running. :)

FC12, I see that you posted at 6am. Are you just coming in from the bars?

Sadly, no thats just what time my dog feels the need to wake up on weekends. Havent been out in the bars until last call in a while....a month or so :) Besides, I dont call it being out all night, I call it offseason training.

Pile on will not be complete until FDude weighs in.

So, you want me to come in here and tell everyone how wrong you are? Even at the high school level in a Class D department, the AD doesn't have time for anything but to be the AD.

USCHO interview with Mike Snee, new director fo College Hockey, Inc http://www.uscho.com/2012/08/31/whos-mike-snee-heres-a-primer-on-college-hockey-inc-s-new-leader/.

One of the beautiful things of college hockey to me is the fact that you have these programs that maybe don’t have this big, national brand because they’re only Division I in hockey such as Colorado College and St. Cloud State and all of these wonderful Eastern institutions. And they’re right there in the game.

In honor of Jason Kasdorf , today is 3 September 2012. There are 33 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

Given he grew up near a D-II program, this doesn't surprise me.
It's not surprising, but it could help the non-DI schools. He is an alum of St. Thomas which is a D-III school playing a D-III schedule, so that could be a negative but probably isn't.

Will you be giving honour to the women's players as well, despite the fact that their season starts one week earlier?

I would prefer that be done on a women's thread. I realize this is RPI hockey but it gets confusing when we do stuff like that on the scores threads during games (especially when the men and women are playing at the same time instead of hours apart).

I always have mentioned the women (first tomorrow) using the same date calculation as the men. Obviously this could be done on the women's thread but I have not done so in the past. This year the women are not playing an exhibition game, so they only start one day earlier. As to "honour", I prefer "honor". :p

If someone else wants to do do a countdown on the women's thread, feel free to do so, and I will skip them here. Otherwise I will continue as in the past.

DrD, you have obviously never had to sit through equal rights/opportunity/nondiscrimination/whatever courses. :)
