He had some intense, focussed sessions on very specific skills. I remember in particular that he spent what seemed like an hour (but probably less) with one forward line on one drill from a faceoff in the offensive zone. With each of several scenarios from the faceoff outcome each player had a designated position to move to but what he was looking for was explosive speed in execution and you had the feeling this drill wasn't going to end until the players could execute it faster than they had ever thought possible.
