Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011 Part II: The Bryce is Right

Given another time last year I remember you "banning me" for a period of time (I think a week), I'm leaning towards the second.

I'm not a moderator, genius. How exactly would I have "banned you?" I recall putting you on ignore once, if that was what you're talking about, but that goes back to you not having the right to be taken seriously rather than your right to say what you want. Maybe that is what you desire? Do you want me to give up my quest to make you a redeemable poster and put you on ignore again? If I didn't care, I would have done that from the very beginning. Or perhaps, your feelings were hurt by that action... in which case you don't seem to have learned anything from it.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for you to explain that quote in a manner that makes the slightest shred of logical sense.

Wow do I love coming to a college hockey forum and having to talk like a politician...

You lie to us?

By the way, Ralph? You may want to watch where you're swinging that word "babble." kthx.

johnk winning friends and influencing people again. Timmah, I will have you know that johnk is friends with Ken Schott and knows alot about College Hockey and will threaten to beat you up in Sec 13 with his buddies if he doesn't like what you say.

Hahahahahaha! One half of the drooling idiots has enlightened us again! Its Section 14 moron! Who are you stalking these days, Hagwell, Schott, or Stewart? Whether I know alot about hockey or not doesn't matter. Just reading your moronic posts and knowing more than you is enough. Now call Red Cloud and get some help from someone who at least has knowledge of what he posts about!

new/enhanced rules concerning ncaa hockey, just call it, "the Cornell Rule" ;) Embellishment/diving

In addition to the contact to the head and general emphasis on player safety, the committee received feedback from the coaching community that embellishment/diving seems to be a growing issue. The committee voted to make this a point of emphasis for the upcoming season and plans to include several video examples during preseason clinics.

“Diving and embellishment erode the integrity of our game and must be eliminated,” McLaughlin said. “Trying to deceive officials is unethical and unsporting. This has to be a collaborative effort to make progress.”

The committee decided to provide guidance regarding obstruction along the boards, where the defensive tactic of pressing and releasing an opponent should be allowed, but impeding is not. Again, additional video examples will be used to encourage consistent application of these rules.

Finally, the group points attention again to rules that deal with facewashing, which typically occurs after a stoppage in play. Continued and stringent enforcement of these rules is needed to improve the image of the game.

In other committee action, it was noted that exhibition games currently limit the number of student-athletes that may dress. After some clarification of the committee’s responsibility here, it has been proposed to remove the restriction on the number of players that may dress for exhibition games, pending approval from the Playing Rules Oversight Panel on a July conference call.

What is the current limit on players that may dress for exhibition games? I don't think it's the same 20-21, because I saw more players on the bench during last year's game against USA U-20.

There isn't one.

Now I'm confused regarding turk's report: "In other committee action, it was noted that exhibition games currently limit the number of student-athletes that may dress. Wow!!! You got me johnk. I didn't know where you sit. You're right I am not an apologist for the league and question authority. I know what the next post is going to be from you johnk.. your famous gay slur. Tell Ken he still owes me a beer at your bar.

Since ******pyDad had to get his 2 cents in with his post about me. He is still mad because I called him out about being 100% wrong on why Ken Schott wasn't covering a certain game. He felt it was OK to post pesonal attacks on Ken but didn't like it when it was turned on him. He has a hard time understanding that Ken knows much more than he does about RPI, Union, the ECAC and all of college hockey. See Aspy and his brother would make a better commissioner than Hagwell, better head of refs that Stewart and a better sportswriter than Schott but I'm the know it all.

If that's the rule, it was never enforced.

You tell him yourself but have him buy it for you at the Knotty Pine please.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time. Add in the advertising-on-the-boards rule to that one, which I believe they just recently changed this past year to allow ads behind the goals.

We would. Apologizing for the league again, I see. Settle down big man..having some fun.

That was my brother who called into questions Ken's game coverage. I was the one who chided Kenny about his line of questioning on the Appert suspension which was out of line and also for not coming to Jason Klump's defense. Kenny is fine, his Phils are in first.

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2011 Part II: The Bryce is Right

Ahhhh you can question authority but I can't question the coach! Please find me a post where I wanted Appert fired.

See post Colgate series. This is like an IM session.

Not at all. I am at the head of the list of GO, if there is an iota of a chance to bolt to Hockey East. No love for the ECAC at all. Have a good day!
