Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

I post a link to a story in the Troy Record go to work come home and all heck has broken loose...

it's good for us to get things out of our system. It validates our measley little lives. It's been a good week on the thread for me. First I got to complain about the ECAC and then a fight with you know who (it's only Tues). I'm ready for the season now. Looking forward to the first installment of Slapschotts with Rodg!!!!

:p YOu awarded the winner before I could think of something...but it is a good one (well done FD!)

Oh no, I merely suggested. Chairman Baer is the arbiter of thread titles (and recruit box score updates).

Consider this your preseason....you need to be in mid season form by first puck drop October 1st. :)

Went to the Hockey Line festivities up at the fieldhouse tonight, and had a chance to ask the director of operations at the fieldhouse about the stage for the band. It will not be returning this year. The band will, however, be better lighted in their spot in the stands.

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

In honor of Justin Smith and Clare Padmore, today is 14 September 2011. There are 17 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 1 October for the start of next season.

We also had a row of seats torn out to better fit the percussion equipment.

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Okay then. I guess he wasn't kidding when he said they removed a row or two of seats.
I wonder if they still have those seats laying around somewhere, Id like to purchase a couple if possible. :D

Hopefully this eventually leads to all the seating being torn out and replaced next summer.

MAV used to be one of the greats. Now he's reduced to playing second fiddle to a guy who couldn't hold his jock when it comes to trolling. Sad, really.

Isn't it bad manners to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent? It frustrates you and annoys him. I wonder why you even bother with a reply....

Reminds me of the Aud seats sitting around where my brother works. It'd definitely be a good fundraiser for the program if they were to replace all of the seats.

Yeah, I don't know. I feel like I should have learned this lesson the last time you were around.

To all: I better not see anyone making jokes about Union in here. Even if they're one of our rivals, we're supposed to kowtow to them in every way shape, and form. Hokydunce said so.

Yeah, I don't know. I feel like I should have learned this lesson the last time you were around.

In retrospect, our last dialog now reminds me of the movie "Bongo The Wonder Bear." The female bear slapped him in the face, and since he was raised in captivity he did not at first know that this was how wild bears expressed affection for each other. Once he learned that, he felt quite a bit differently about the situation!
