RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

Do you have short-term memory problems? You posted these same exact statistics an hour ago.

Did you have to get that song (Amnesia by Chumbawumba) stuck in my head? At least it's a halfway decent one this time...

not even a remote clue what you are talking about. must be the voices in your head again. have watched Union play twice in 10 years, couldnt tell you if they run a trap or not.

Re: RPI Off-Season III: Another Helping of Mindless Speculation and Idle Chit Chat

why, speaking the truth? facts and records dont lie.

would seem to me that this should in all fairness be a very critical season for the new coach(7th year in) and I would assume that RPI fans would be expecting a deep run in ECAC tournament and a strong NCAA tournament showing. If not, will be tough to say the program is making big strides.

But than again, it is easier to tell us 30 or 40 times how Union is doing poorly, none of their players are as good as yours and that they will never win an ncaa game.

Methinks 6th. :p

Then you might want to take our word for it, as we see them every year. There's only two teams that currently don't play some form of trap in the ECAC: RPI and Yale.

As usual, you are right...

6th season with 100% of roster being his. Seems like similar to Union, results should start popping up now. Not back to back first round losses to teams far lower in the regular season standings(1 dead last, other next to last)

It's a good point. RPI and Yale haven't exactly don't much lately using their style (we should note the nice Yale win over North Dakota in 2010 however). And while Cornell hasn't won the whole thing, they have done pretty well in the postseason tournaments using the style under their Coach Psycho. And anyone in Buffalo in 2003 knows they got hosed with their goal that got called back in a scoreless game at the time vs. UNH.

Actually about 96% is his. I think that most if not all of us think that last year's record would have been better if a certain two players hadn't turned pro. Despite that the team made the NCAA tourney. I would certainly have liked better, but I regard the season as a success.

That is a great attitude and should be admired.

I think it is safe to say that BU, BC and all of the other programs, Union as well can say the same. Kids leaving early for pro hockey is not unusual.

I cant imagine losing to dead last Colgate and 1 and out in NCAA, getting shut out is a success. Union, who your pals ridicule, has half the history and was dinged by them for losing to eventual natl champ Minn D. They were regular season champs at least.

BC lost Atkinson and Hayes alone for this year and will be right back in the hunt, part of the game. Union lost Kincaid.

MAV used to be one of the greats. Now he's reduced to playing second fiddle to a guy who couldn't hold his jock when it comes to trolling. Sad, really.

couldnt hold a candle to you... RC family archives. 23000+ posts and counting..

Ah yes, your other obsession. Post counts.

I know it's spacious and rent free, but I'm honestly tired of living in your head. I'm impressed that you've been able to restrain yourself from fantasizing about disgusting acts with my deceased mom AND have kept your sick obsession with underage boys away from the discussion.

Kids leaving early for the pros is indeed not unusual, but it is unusual for RPI. These were the first two ever to leave after one year, and only Daren Puppa left after two. IMHO, the fact that they left early is also a mark of the improvement of the program.

I wouldn't expect SA to comment, but I think that he thought that one might leave early, but not both, and definitely not so late in the off-season that it was impossible to replace them.

Don't feed, Ralph. The guy acts like he knows what he's talking about, gloats all over Union, and then can't even spell Keith Kinkaid's name right. You're only perpetuating the problem by engaging him like this.

I've always left the door open for honest discussion if he ever decides to stop being a troll, but I won't hold my breath on that. He's going to have to come around on his own timetable, if at all, and there's not much we can do. Such is the nature of trolls.

Good points. Not 100% sure if it is a mark of the improvement. maybe they thought they would develop better elsewhere. maybe....

Big year for program, unless another last eyar is considered a success. If so, fans need to watch Union heading north and get off their backs with the patronizing comments.

you are blinded with anger/rage/ignorance. My comments were legit and have merit. go back and read and tell me where I am way off base based upon my premise. I only used Union as an example when Flg Dude was slamming them ona live blog while pretending to be pals on here.
