Its great to keep SA behind the bench. While I think he gave Denver a long hard thought, I really didn't think he would want to replace Gwoz under the circumtances. The fact that RPI stepped uponly made it easier for him to stay.
Now what are we going to talk about until October??? ;)

The hockey banquet is friday night right? Well that should give us something to talk about for a month or so. Then any developments in the NHL draft will give us another month of endless and sometimes mindless debate. :)

Nice result for the ECAC. The #1 and #3 regular season teams went to the finals. Makes me think #2 RPI could have done more.

Well, of course they could have done more.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to populating my list of potential assistant coaches in case one of them leaves.

I've sent in my resume just in case.;)

Hmmm... it's good to read how well thought of OGC is in Denver. :) Having read some Denver Post coverage and then thought about how quickly Jim Montgomery's name surfaced in Denver instead of Orono, I wonder if OGC (while getting a blessing and some advice from his mentor George Gwozdecky) may have phoned his former assistant JM with a little advice, too. OGC may have been some great conversations with Col. Knowlton about an extension...while JM may have been finding the developments at Maine with Bob Corkum being anointed a bit more than just an interim coach a bit unsettling.

We keep our OGC, a GG assistant; Denver gets one of OGC's former assistants. Just sayin'... ;)

Looking forward to Denver coming to the HFH even more now. :)

Sorry Doc, one of the requirements is you actually have to be able to see the game.

Well one eye can-and I have been assured the other will be able to soon. Besides, being down on the bench i would be much closer to the ice.:)

If that happened, I'd consider talking the Red Army into giving Jenny 33-B-10 or 33-B-3, just in case the refs try to pull something dumb... ;)

Something tells me that you would be afraid of Jenny.

Something tells me that you would be afraid of Jenny.

And with good reason. I have always said if I ever got involved in a bar fight i would want her covering me and on my side. Petite but dangerous.
