Ouch, a couple of tough scores there. Of course, it's not like I could do any better... you know how many 6's I put down at one of the mini-golf places in town?

Maybe his hockey injury hampered him somewhat.

Just a quick question: is there anyone in here going to Pittsburgh? If there are, I will be wearing my George Servinis jersey at the games on Thursday. Stop by and say hi.

I guess Seth Appert has his interview in Denver this week :-(

Source: Denver to interview Seth Appert, Derek Lalonde this week ... Don Granato also potentially in mix, but he's in Russia coaching U-17s

If he gets the offer he's gone. Then we'll have a lost decade or more again.

Of course-and just that fact that he would go for an interview shows the interest level. Keeping fingers crossed here.:)

AspyDad--not trying to sandbag as a DU fan, but I don't agree with you. If DU deems Appert to be the best candidate, I think it would take a fantastic offer to get Appert away from RPI. I imagine Appert is very attached to RPI, and would love to follow through on what he has been building there.

I've been looking for a change of scenery. This may be the thing that makes me move.

If that is the case why would he even interview?

Probably feels he owes it to himself and his family to at least listen to what DU says. Don't get me wrong, I think DU could put together a good package for him. But lots of people go through interviews and turn down job offers. We'll see how this plays out, but with all the weirdness that has happened at DU lately, it just seems like an unpredictable situation.

DU might also be very impressed by LaLonde's USHL coaching resume. I would still prefer Appert, but this blurb on LaLonde is pretty impressive:

Lalonde led the Gamblers to a historic regular season mark of 47-9-4 this past season in route to capturing both the Anderson Cup and Clark Cup Championships. Lalonde’s 47 wins were the most for a first year head coach in USHL history surpassing former Gamblers head coach Eric Rud (41). Under the guidance of Lalonde, the team broke Tier 1 records in points (98), wins (47), road wins (25) fewest losses (9), goals scored (250) and goal differential (+112). For his efforts, Lalonde was named 2012 USHL Coach of the Year.

DrD, you would probably be surprised but if he wants it, I hope he gets it. Seth is a great dude. I would be very happy for him and I hope whatever is best for him and the fam happens. The dude has fought the good fight. He's brought in talented players, good citizens. I would be absolutely bummed but pleased.

The only thing that I would be angry about is the committment from Shirley to the hockey program. She built the big, beautiful football stadium but IMHO hasn't done anything major to HFH. Speaks to me about her priorities or lack thereof for hockey..her only D1 Sport.

And we will not be able to rely on him getting us close to the pin at the golf tourney anymore. And I already know I cannot rely on your short game.

Seth hits that same shot 20 times before we get up there. I could do the same. He's basically cheating.
