As far as I can tell, there's been zero promotion of this. Not even in the weekend preview/hype email I rec'd from "Dave Smith"...

But yet Sachi is a 'well deserved' addition to Phalanx....

Overall marketing in my opinion is quite poor.

Not exactly my opinion, but:

RPI should focus on grooming hockey champions rather than engineering. Long story short: If we lose, we get Colgate. If we win or tie, it's up in the air.

Very likely what I said on the score thread is the truth.

I agree. Another strange situation going on.

Anyways, I like this team and how they played. Talent level is on the low side, but the effort and scheme is pretty good.

Through a semi-extended research of playoff opponents, this is what I have come up with:
Yes, FD. If Colgate wins, we play them.
If (and I wish I could say When) Colgate loses, we would play Quinnipiac if they win, Princeton with a win and QU loses or ties, or Yale with a win and losses by all of the other 3 teams. Colgate loses all tie-breakers with any of these teams head-to-head so if RPI and Colgate tie, then either QU or PU would be our opponent if either one wins.
There is still a mathematical possibility of a 3-way or (*shudder*) 4-way tie for 6th and I would get a headache even thinking about what would happen in those cases.
Whoever it is, bring them on.
In the meantime, let’s win one tonight to go into the playoffs with a little momentum. Let’s go RED!!!!

Oh, if anyone wants to say hello tonight, I will be wearing my Servinis jersey tonight for FREAKOUT.

I agree. The effort and attitude are there. Two blown assignments were the difference last night -- that's gonna happen with the quantity of youngsters we're sending out. We hit at least two pipes -- puck luck! !

I haven't heard anything about Coach Shaefer (he was hauled to the locker room by RPI EMS staff after falling ill on the bench. Hope he is alright )

I couldn't agree more. The record doesn't indicate how this team competes. We need to upgrade the talent with a couple of scorers.
I won't make any predictions for the playoffs, but just hope they continue to play with the same intensity that they have shown all season long.
I also wish Shaefer the best. He is not my favorite coach, but I don't like seeing anyone go down like he did.

Very likely what I said on the score thread is the truth.

Check out my prediction thread for more exact odds.

If you don't believe in the voodoo of KRACH, think of it this way. There are 81 ways that the RPI, Princeton, Quinnipiac, and Yale games can go. 56 of them end with us going to Colgate, 15 go to Quinnipiac, 6 to Princeton, and 4 to Yale.

-As Flaggy said, if we lose, it's Colgate.
-If we tie, it's Quinnipiac (Qu win + Pr non-win) or Colgate (all other).
-If we somehow win, it's Yale (Ya win + Qu and Pr non-win), Quinnipiac (Qu outdoes Pr), Princeton (Pr win + Qu non-win), or Colgate (Pr, Qu, and Yale all don't win).

T/U reported he took a stick to the head on the bench - dunno whether it was friendly fire or not.

I saw a tweet from the CU locker room that guessed that is what happened. Based on what I saw from the bench activity, it wasn't a random stick though. He looked quite uncomfortable under the EMT escort.
