Yes but what else is new. Do you think RIT is referred to as RPI as much? Perhaps I should ask on the RIT Thread. What’s amazing is the PU player is skating right over the Rensselaer logo as he’s saying RIT.....not to mention the HUGE Engineers banner on the back glass.

FWIW, the error was noted in the comments to the tweet.

I suspect that RIT does not have that problem.

I don’t want to harp it too much but that highlight tape was narrated by the same person with “RPI” being the very next clip followed by “RIT”. You would think it wouldn’t be asking much to get the name of the Teams correct......it is done by the NCAA after all. I could see the holes at espn doing it but the people of the NCAA?

During last week's women's game, ESPN referred to us as Rochester Polytechnic Institute.

That the evil four letter even acknowledges the existence of the sport, much less the college game is in and of itself remarkable.

My son is a Div. I athlete (he runs cross country and track/field for...wait for it....TROY University) They compete in the Sun Belt Conference and the cross country finals were broadcast live on ESPNU this year. Let me tell you, that is not the most exciting of spectator sports. The point is if they can do that on ESPNU, I can't why there isn't more college hockey being shown. Thank goodness for RPITV !

First, you have to figure the cost for bringing personnel and equipment in; Barry Melrose can't be everywhere. :p Secondly, I remember, while with the band, specifically hearing one of the workers for TWCS state that they hate doing a production for hockey on account of speed, angles, and relative danger with the puck, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's disdain when it comes to personnel. Third, they do the national tournaments of all the other sports because they're mandated by the NC$$ in order to show handegg and squeakball.

Even though we led 27-24 late in the third, Wesley has just too much offense and scored the next 3 TDs and is up 45-27 late. Our boys surprised me by playing them better than even for almost 3 quarters but they are just a bit over matched by speed and size. For any chance to win, we had to keep this a lower scoring game and once it turned into a scoring fest, the result was pretty certain. A great season though and we look forward to next year and keeping the shoes for 6 years!!!

Thanks to football for a good season. No, on to Northern Ireland... When the guys make the evening convenience store run (and they do have them in NI) check out the Taytos, the selection of yogurt and the size of the candy bars.

And watch out for the traffic flow. They drive on the other side of the road... and it seems the drivers have the right of way, so don't step into the road and expect them to stop...

They have four crew members on site working on a documentary of sorts. I don't believe they're allowed to shoot anything featuring gameplay though, or possibly in the arena at all, which is sort of awkward for a hockey-based documentary.
