RPI Hockey 2014-2015 Part II: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015 Part II: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

I think there other factors that have driven people away from the thread, the constant sniping on small things kills wanting to join the fray. I know there are some disappointments this year but injuries have been a big part of it. I'm assuming none of us thought we were going to be a scoring machine with the subtraction of Zalweski and Haggs. There have been bright points for me and the weekend sweep of the National Champions and our main rival (not Clarkson) was sweet. Kazzie was more like Kazzie this weekend after slumping a little. I think he can put it together here late and he and the boys could steal a series or two.
I still believe that when the stars align for us on any given night, we can be a very difficult team to play. The freshmen, for the most part, have indicated that they are for real. it will be so important though for them to progress each year and hopefully we do not see the stagnation or regression of their talent and spirit. I have not paid great attention to the recruits coming for next year but I am very pleased with the group SA brought in for this year. There seems to be a very big upside potential here (but I have said that several times in the past decade and we have just not seen that happen). If this team is going to do anything at all over the next 2 weekends-Kasdorf will have to be the same fellow that he was 2 years ago. Anything less and we will have that incredibly long off season we have gotten used to.

I agree with AspyDad's post. Count me among those who believe the team can steal a series or two... for those who saw Tim Wilkin's interview with the BRO in the Times Union on February 8th, Big Luke indicated that there was some level of disappointment in the season, to date, but the season wasn't over and there was more to the story to be written.

Add me to this also. I am still the same fanatic about RPI hockey that I have been for the past 50+ years. i will always be supportive of the boys playing and the team. I just have problems with several other aspects of the program. But we recruit great kids who are great examples of student athletes and they deserve our total support.

I agree. When your an Engineer, you're an Engineer all the way.

Former NHL star Eric Lindros has filed a lawsuit for $3 million in damages against former NHL referee and current ECAC director of officiating Paul Stewart..... http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/ecac/2015/2/25/8109097/eric-lindros-paul-stewart-lawsuit

Looks like this story vindicates your intrepid reporter again. I have been reporting to all of you for many years about Paul Stewart and his less than stellar record. Stewart should have been dismissed from his duties when his bias against MGC was shown in his now infamous "crutch" comment. AspyDad...Fair, balanced and Unafraid!!

AD, these are my two least favorite people in the hockey universe. I have no respect for either one of them. They deserve each other.

Careful Clark Kent, nowhere does Lindros refute the story, he's just taking legal action "because it makes him look bad" and wants all traces of the article "removed from the internet" LOL...

the article was published in July of last year, and it doesn't make a good look for a supervisor of officials either. Let sleeping dogs lie, FFS...

Lindros did refute http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/1...efamation-lawsuit-former-referee-paul-stewart

Apparently, you didn't like my reporting. Ok, I broke my stories while in the helicopter with Bryan Williams taking incoming. SS you can go back to moaning about MGC being on the grassy knoll. That is all.

Au contraire, mon frere, I didn't mind your reporting. I could have done without the reminders of your reporting. I wish you'd post here more often.

Speaking of, I should’ve remembered this because I’m 3 days older but it was Big Rich Curadi’s BD on the 23rd (would’ve been 59). Also, Happy BD to troyboy :)

For those of us who attended RPI because its motto isn't in Latin, what does that mean? :)

Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, (may they) rest in peace. Amen. ;)
