RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

When I put this into Google Translate, it comes back as "You may Duzen me." What are you trying to say Ralph?

The verb duzen means to use the du form of you, not the Sie form. Essentially I was saying that you don't have to be so formal. Try the dictionary https://dict.leo.org/ which states that duzen means "to address someone informally". I wonder why Google Translate didn't understand that.

For those who post here that have had a good year, I wish the same for next year for you and many more. For those of us, and there are a few, who had a horrible year, may next year bring us better and may we put some distance between us and all the bad from this past year. Most of the posters on here are just a wonderful group of bright, charming, and funny devotees of RPI and RPI hockey. I was away from much of this for some time but am beginning to realize how much fun this all is and how much I receive by being a part of it all.
For those few trolls who come on, and you know who you are, send me your address and I have some stuff that we have cleaned out from the cat's boxes I can gift wrap for you as a holiday gift.
If I have gained any insight this year about life, it is just not to take too much all that seriously since you just never know when the truly bad is about to strike. Happy Holidays to all, regardless of what you celebrate and may Santa see fit to bring us a long winning streak starting with the Harvard game. DrD and Jenny

This has definitely not been one of my better years nor has it been a good first half for our Engineers. However, I still believe my big brother Harry is watching in his replica jersey and will root them home to something special in the 2nd half....and if not this year then next year or the one following. RPI hockey has been part of my life for nearly 40 years and, while it doesn't always live up to my expectations, we can always look forward to the future.

Winning streak certainly would be nice, of course you know where in the season we'd truly like it. ;) Hopefully you have a good new year, doc.

Not sure which category you put me in Doc, although I suspect a few others put me in the latter. But I can take it when chastised, I'm a big boy (even if of Ralph's stature). However since I have seven felines, I'll pass on any offer of additional litter, used or not. Having rooted for RPI hockey since the Woodstock era, I am not a fair weather fan - I will continue to do so until my final buzzer. I criticize when I feel it warranted (5 forwards on the PP, for example) and I have cheered when deserved (thank you Servinis). As FD suggested, and I agree, we would all love nothing more than to see an undefeated streak start in March and continue into the 2015-2016 season. To all the posters here, a happy and healthy holiday season and prosperous new year.

Just curious. Does 72 represent the year that you graduated?

Thanks Dude-just about anything would be better for us than 2014. Would love to see the season take off from here and if healthy, it just might.

You were never in a bad place, but you improved several notches with the 7 cats. We are down to 7 now after losing 2 last year. Unfortunately all but one is quite old and we may be losing 2 more very shortly with one actually on a daily watch. I have 50+ years of RPI hockey under my belt so put me in your category of not being a fair weather fan. Have seen the worst (1965-66) and the best 1983-84 and 1984-85). As to Woodstock, I was in the medical tent at the festival but would not have been there if it would have conflicted with a game against Cornell and Dryden in goal(good thing it was mid August).

In case anyone has forgotten :D

Today is 28 December 2014. There are 2 days until RPI's next game.

Yes, I omitted the "In honor of Parker Reno" part.

Thanks RB-I knew we had a game coming up but had completely forgotten it was Tuesday. These midweek games can sneak up on me.

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

With one day before our next game, does anyone have any information on our injured players?
What lineup can we expect for tomorrow's game?

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

Just to assure everybody, I have seen quite a few birthdays, but I did graduate more recently than 1921. ;)

Waite: As most here know i finished in 1966 after what may well be the worst hockey season recorded. We do have quite a few from our generation posting and it is just sometimes nice to have that perspective about RPI hockey.
