RPI injury update: Kasdorf works out; Schroeder's season could be over (updates with video)

Injured RPI freshman goalie Jason Kasdorf got a little work in prior to the team's practice Wednesday at Houston Field House. Meanwhile, the Engineers are considering a medical redshirt for sophomore forward Zach Schroeder. ....
Also: Neal (neck) coming along , Hampton (back) out, Marty O (unspecified?) is a coin flip. UGGH

EDIT: Having played 9 games, I'm not sure Schroeder qualifies for a med. redshirt. I always understood the cutoff to be 6 games??? But it seems as if Appert was indicating there might be wiggle room with this and the NCAA... dunno.

At one time the threshold was 20% of regular season contests for redshirt. That would put the limit at 6 or 7 games, depending on whether the NCAA allows you to round up, which I doubt. There have been instances where atheltes have been granted a 5th or even a 6th, year of eligibility, so it may be possible for him to play three more seasons.
