RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

I also noticed #7 was not getting any ice time after the 1st period so I wonder if he re-injured himself.

You are correct - Apps mentioned this at the pre-game alumni lunch. Glad to have a break for a few weeks...based on the guys he listed playing hurt right now, we could use some time to heal!

Friday was great, saw a lot of smiling faces on the bench. Saturday was a little more frustrating, but I'll take 3 points on a weekend (especially a road weekend) anytime.

Thanks. I hadn't noticed that Schroeder didn't play after period 1 on Friday.

Easy Tiger... Let's beat the tar out of Union a few times first, if that's OK. :D
It's too bad that we aren't playing them now as they seem to be having a down period -- haven't won in the last five league games.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

At the end of the weekend, we are 1-5-2 for 4 points in the league. The good news, we are only four points out of fourth place.
With more than half the season to be played and a break to get healthy, things are not as bad as they look. For one thing, only three teams in the league are over .500.
We have learned that we have very good freshmen, and an improving sophomore class. The upperclassmen have to step it up, and we have to play more like a team.
This is not rocket science and we have a group of very smart players, so we should be able to sort it out.
Lets go red in 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 points on the weekend is a good start and hopefully a sign of change. Jason Kasdorf has pretty much said with his play "hey guys this is my net, I got this from here". Good to see the scoring spread out this weekend and now the team gets a break to rest up and take care of business in the classroom.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

How about a little congrats to coach SA? Seems to me he got the team ready to play tonight and had the right strategy for just about everything including about 30 minutes of special teams play. And then of course he did choose to put Kasdorf in net for tonight. Will be interesting to see what changes he makes for tomorrow against a completely different type of team that just tied Union 3-3.

Agree! Good weekend! LGR!

Not really hockey but pulled this from the NY Times- "Among the 493 colleges with budgets greater than $50 million, the highest paid sitting president was Shirley Ann Jackson of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, at $2,340,441." And I thought I was doing well. I wonder if that figure is higher that the hockey budget:rolleyes:

Of course, there are standing presidents who make more. ;)

That's more than double what it was when I graduated.

Re: RPI Hockey 2012-2013 Part II: You Better Starting Posting the Engineer Way

I do not mince words to make it sound more appealing.

there are plenty of times in which no comment at all would be a fine choice on your part. :)

We all make accomodations (called "good manners" or "etiquette") in which we choose not to denigrate others.

Trust me, social ineptitude is not appealing, and making excuses for it seems really inconsistent for a person who wants everyone else to exercise personal responsibility over their life choices.

That's it from me on this topic. Remain immature or accept some coaching on how to get along nicely with others. Your choice.

I'm not sure if it explains quite a bit, however it doesn't go anywhere near disproving a hypothesis of mine...

I won't attempt to figure out what your hypothesis is, but I would think that coming from Minnesota, she would know how to pronounce Schroeder.

....or Tinordi (Tinord-o).....Bailen (Bay-la).....or Rogic (rA-jack)

I specifically mentioned Schroeder because his brother is fairly well known having played for Minnesota and being a first round draft choice.

Also the RPI info sheets have pronounciation guidelines for all players whose names can cause difficulty and I would think that Yale's announcers would have gotten copies.

Edit: I just went into shock when I calculated how old she probably was when Tinordi's father played his last game for the North Stars before they moved to Dallas.

See, Ralph, all those people who've been complaining there isn't supposed to be any math on this thread knew how much trouble you get into when you start calculating. :D
