This interview with Coach Appert would have been the perfect spot for him to just go Jim Mora or Herm Edwards on Schott and Weaver or whoever the Record sent over.
Denny Green.... "They are who we thought they were..!" :p

Once again, he mentioned maturity. And now he threw in confidence. If we have so many guys that were captains and asst. captains on their previous teams, I would expect that maturity would not be an issue.
Every year, I have to remind myself that the transition to college hockey is much greater that I thought it would be. Also, the fact that we have to turn over the team in every year (new freshmen) we have to redo the chemistry. Not an easy task.
I hope these guys get it sooner rather than later.

Some teams do not seem to me to have nearly as much trouble as we do. Union had to replace a couple of its best skaters. Yes, they lost to Merrimack, but besides for that nothing seems to have changed.

They lost to Merrimack AND Dartmouth, with a tie or two thrown in for good measure and with two of their wins coming against the same team. The fact that they're still #7 confirms that the USCHO poll is a joke.

I forgot about DC.

Game notes http://www.rpiathletics.com/documents/2012/11/15/2012-13MHKYGameNotes_Mercyhurst_1116.pdf?id=1378

FRIDAY’S OFFICIALS: The referees on Friday are Kyle Allen and Chip McDonald ... Friday’s linesmen are Glen Cooke and Richard Patry.

SATURDAY’S OFFICIALS: Wearing the stripes on Saturday will be Bryan Hicks and Jean-Yves Roy (referees), along with Glen Cooke and Richard Patry.

I don't think I've seen/heard Kyle Allen do a RPI game... new this year, mayhaps? I know Roy worked last year.

Sure-they assign us Kotyra for league games. Perhaps they can find a way to give us Murphy and Kotyra together again as they did in Ithaca a few years back for the playoff game 2.

I beleive he is new to ECACHL this year - played at Canisius back in the early part of the century...as told to me by fellow HFH attendee who is linked to officiating world.

I have never heard anyone use the phrase "early part of the century" referring to the 21st century before. I would think that we are still in that era unless the world is really going to end next month. :p
