I just noticed that Delaney Middlebrook's father played bandy professionally in Sweden http://www.rpiathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7130&path=whock.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Two new 2016 commitments according to http://www.collegecommitments.com/CommitList.aspx?x7cq9=FEMALE

But only one appears to be correct: :D

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="es" dir="ltr">Sabrina Repaci (Toronto Aeros) has committed to RPI for 2016-2017 <a href="https://twitter.com/PWHL_Hockey">@PWHL_Hockey</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RPI_WHockey">@RPI_WHockey</a></p>— WHockey Commits (@WHockeyCommits) <a href="https://twitter.com/WHockeyCommits/status/628935062617255936">August 5, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Sabrina Repaci's page http://pwhl3.stats.pointstreak.com/playerpage.html?playerid=7159870&seasonid=13188.

She will play in the 2015-16 National Women's Under-18 Team camp next week http://stats.hockeycanada.ca/roster_players/8784384?subseason=235835.

She committed 7/20 or earlier:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Huge Congrats to <a href="https://twitter.com/SabrinaRepaci">@SabrinaRepaci</a> on her commitment to play D1 hockey for RPI</p>— Toronto Jr. Aeros (@toaeros) <a href="https://twitter.com/toaeros/status/623161678650281984">July 20, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

RPI is correct. She committed last December.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Proud and excited to announce my commitment to play D1 college hockey at RPI University! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoEngineers?src=hash">#GoEngineers</a></p>— Katarina Seper (@SeperKatarina) <a href="https://twitter.com/SeperKatarina/status/546095606771757056">December 20, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

I hope someone, sometime, will gently break the news to Katarina Seper that "University" is not part of the name of the school she will be attending.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

But is RPI a university?

Under the common American definition of "university", yes. It is an institute of higher learning offering both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in many fields spread over multiple schools/colleges.

RPI does not, however, include the word "University" in it's name, and never has.

At one time underneath Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute logos read "A Technological University".
