RPI Engineers '15-'16

With the release of the 2015-2016 schedule, good time to put the disappointments of last year behind us and focus on a new year with a new thread. Like the schedule, good mix of teams from different conferences, a return to McGill, and a renewal of a rivalry with RIT that goes back to D3 days. Curious that the schedule does not show a game at Clarkson: must be an error or perhaps a scheduling problem not yet resolved?

Clarkson is almost certainly on 2/6/16. They probably just forgot to enter it.

Thanks for starting the new thread.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Less hopeful in the thread title this year. I'm sure shelfit will be happy.

Incorrect. As I've said on more than one occasion, nothing would make me happier than to see this team return to the ECAC playoffs. My strong opinion is that result is just never going to happen under the current head coach.

hab, that would be great if they could win 15 or 16 games but chop that prediction in half and you'll be more on target.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Last year's RPI thread was one of the most active ones of the women's hockey forums because we had a lot of good interchange between RPI fans and RPI sceptics. Hope for the same this year. Full disclosure here, I consider myself to be first and foremost a 'fan' of RPI hockey, and secondly an analyst of RPI hockey. I watch most of their games (on video, unfortunately, as I live half a world away) and hope to provide some useful comments on the games. But as a fan I never let analysis get in the way of blind faith :D. I promise to stay more grounded in reality than the legendary MICZamboni, but I proudly remain a fan, as I attempted to define in this thread: http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?78447-USCHO-com-Fan-Forum-Hall-of-Fame-Nominations

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

I guess that this is her:

Name: Alyssabeth Marlene Tremblay
Class: First-Year Student
Curriculum: Biomedical Engineering

I will post the revised list on the men's recruit thread soon.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

I don't look at the women's threads very often, but after glancing at this one, I have a question.

Where is Shattuck St. Mary's located and how does it draw players from locations as diverse as Princeton Junction, NJ and Anchorage, AK?

Faribault, MN. It is considered by many the top prep hockey school for both men and women. BTW, Ben Barr went there. There is a rumor that Emil Ohrvall will be there next season.

Edit: I add that the woman's recruit listed as from Princeton Junction, NJ, Josefine Hansen, is apparently original from Denmark and has played for Denmark. (There might be 6 flags in the HFH in the fall: US, Canada, Slovakia, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark).
