RPI at Colgate 2/4/23

Colgate dominated early and clearly has an advantage in speed. Do they recruit anyone that isn't at least an above average skater? However, as the period went on we began to play better. In fact, we arguably had the best goal scoring opportunity in a completely uncontested break-away from the blue line in by Lee. Hopefully Watson, who played a very good period, is finding his form. As we saw with Savory a few years ago and Watson in the latter part of last season, a team that has absolute confidence in their goalie to bail them out generally picks up the pace on offense - and we definitely need that.
 
The Colgate announcer, who is calling a good unbiased game, amusingly called one of the Colgate players "quicker than a hiccup" - hadn't heard that one before :)
 
We need to have a faceoff in our end with three seconds left in the period and see if Colgate will pull their goalie again.
