RPI at Brown, 1/20/12

Re: RPI at Brown, 1/20/12

If tonight's women's game is any indication, the fieldhouse staff have fixed the issue with not being able to run both scoreboards at once. They are currently using the east-end scoreboard for shots on net at the women's game.

Speaking of which, it's currently a scoreless tie with 6:01 remaining in the first period, RPI outshooting Yale 9-5.

Checking in late on both games tonight but it sounds like I haven't missed much. The women's game is close to being a "must win" against the last place team in the league, in the race for the final playoff spot. After one period still 0-0, with RPI holding a 14-6 edge in shots.

And now, I need to tune in to WRPI, assuming they are on the air.

The first period at HFH was heavily tilted in RPI's favor but they couldn't find the back of the net. If they keep up like they have been playing they will win. I would call this a must-win weekend, really. 4 points will be critical in getting ahead in the race for 8th place.
