Schroeder has some wheels! - Looking forward to seeing what he can do as he matures!

Re: RPI at Brown, 1/20/12

RPI men beat Brown by 3, RPI women beat Yale by 2, and the Habs are leading the Penguins by 2. Pinch me.

Re: RPI at Brown, 1/20/12

The good-lot s of stuff-we pitch a shutout, the defense played solid and Merriam had a good night
The bad-we still could not put this one away in the third period and seemed to be on our heels for some time giving Brown some chances.
But it sure is nice to get our second empty net goal this year to go against the 10 we have given up.

Re: RPI at Brown, 1/20/12

Kudos to RPI for a great game played! As for Brown, we clearly have some soul-searching to do. It was just a pitiful performance from start to beginning, and we deserved to lose by 8 rather than just 3. That was literally the worst I've seen us play in about a decade, because not only did we play dumb hockey and make mistakes and bad decisions, but we gave no effort, as well. What a joke.

Again, congrats on a fine performance, especially from the goalie at the end.

Often times hockey is just a game of match ups. For some odd reason this season we just seem to match up well with Brown. Perhaps it is style of play or personnel. I am thankful for it because we just do not have that kind of thing going against anyone else this year. Brown is a solid club and will have no problem rebounding from this but unfortunately they get Union tomorrow and that is one team that you just cannot make any mistakes against or allow to play on special teams against you. See you guys in the playoffs-that's when these games will really get tough.

Well said, Doctor. It would seem that this matchup has favored RPI for the past 15 years or so...in fact, after the game in November, I believe I said the same thing and someone (flagdude, potentially) showed me that RPI was something ridiculous like 14-2 against us recently (excluding playoffs, obviously).

We seemed to match up pretty well with Union at their place, but they've been an absolute terror on the road. Hopefully, both these teams win tomorrow- I'd like to keep pace with Yale.
