RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

I took a swing by HFH today to see what was happening. The refrigeration contractor (Mobile, AL) was active and the parking lot is littered with a large stockpile of steel piping, rebar mesh panels and other supplies. There is a new chiller unit installed at the rear of the building and there is a large object/pile shrink wrapped behind that ...boards and glass perhaps? Dunno.

Clearly, we are still in the plumbing phase of the project and a concrete pour is likely still several weeks off. That's the report from Wobegone!

Recruiting class rankings are a sign Coach is bringing in promising players. It's good news and makes for a nice summer buzz. But it's just a buzz.

Rankings are just rankings. Wins are where it's at. There's a lot of time and a lot of hard work between now and puck drop. Go Red!

Part 2 of the HFH renovation.

Good progress....further than I thought.

If you are talking about the B lot right next to the Fieldhouse, apparently a lot has happened in the past two days since you drove by.

As of 4 P.M. Thursday, the largest items in the B lot were the two Zambonis with just some smaller stuff laying around them. The B lot is essentially empty!!!

Good news ! Having seen the latest HFH video clip I am happy to have been wrong !! and am encouraged by the progress. Looking forward to seeing the new ice sheet....whenever it is unveiled !!

RPI is now also #1 in the ECAC on Neutral Zone's recruiting class ranking. with 626.8 points. https://neutralzone.com/ncaa-recruiting-class-rankings/ (not public) We are #18 overall. Clarkson and QU follow at #19 and #20.
Now all we need to do is to translate that from on paper to on the ice. i am very close to totally convinced that this coach can do that. This could get to be very exciting for all of us. And considerable expensive for me as i may have to go back to purchasing season tickets again! Question - Is Troy still located in the same place near Albany and Schenectady NY????

Believe it’s someone from the Steel. 06
Patrick Tolan or Miles Burgin? The other 06 are either committed or going back to steel for 26/27 season. It would be something special if lang flipped Schultz from NODAK? We’re not there yet but it would be something if he somehow flipped a player like that.

Tolan would seem like the obvious choice since there’s a numbers shortage on the right side and he seems like the kind of prospect that will be a depth signing with perhaps some upside (equivalent to the recent addition of Slezak to fill a gap at LD). The other guy I’m wondering about is Goukler, who is a left shot committed to Merrimack for ‘27. Under the new rules he’d only get 3 years so I wonder if he might flip to a team that can take him this year.

Whether they add another guy or not, this looks like the deepest roster we’ve had in a long time - and with only 3 seniors that will have to fight for ice time. Practice competition is going to be intense.
