RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

Eventually, NZ ends up having the updated classes for all the schools though. For marketing, I've also received at least one email touting it. I think it was in a golf outing promotion email.
I probably got that email also, but I have stopped reading messages about the golf outing. :)

Caught wind that we might have landed another recruit for our incoming class. Believe it’s a dman.
I’ve been wondering about that. We haven’t announced Heroux’s transfer, and even with him we’d be at 8, the absolute minimum in this era with team’s generally dressing 7 on D. Furthermore, we only have 3 left defenseman. With or without our last transfer, I’d like to see another LD for depth.

NZ does better, but they haven't updated everyone yet. We have the correct 9 players, but most other schools don't. We currently sit 5th in the ECAC to Quinnipiac, Clarkson, Harvard, and Cornell and 29th overall. We are going to improve, but I don't know how much.

How has RPI marketed it besides for an Instagram pos

I suppose it’s all subjective but kinda feel like the industry might lean Puck Preps as I believe the USHL had their scouting staff on their USHL Draft show to break down prospects.

In honor of Mathieu Bourgault, today is 13 July 2026. There are 82 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 3 October 2026 for the start of next season.

Hopefully Slezak is healthy now. Missed the entire year with injury. More of a depth add either way
I guess that he will replace Jovanovic as our "hope that he gets better D-man.

Are we still expecting Heroux?

One more thing, do you have a guess on Slezak's uniform number? I am going to use your guesses if an actual roster list doesn't show up. You'll probably say #8.

FWIW, Slezak's commitment moved us from the #29 to the #27 best recruiting class on Neutral Zone's list. It should change more when all the classes are correct.

Yes Heroux is coming. Yes I'm going to say 8 haha :P

My initial model results have us #3 behind Quinnipiac and Cornell. Note that my model includes transfers and is averaged, so the transfers bring us down compared to just freshmen. I also don't include goalies because I do it based on average projected PPG for the players in the class.

Where in the world did they get that old red hawk logo?

He reinjured the same knee in practice which is which is why he sat out the entire season. It's a good thing they only need him for depth because he'll most likely need to be brought along slowly. He was commited to Princeton, but according to the article below they were tracking the new eligibility requirements. He'd probably be better off playing another year in junior, but I believe by doing so under the final rule (adopted after the article was published) he would still lose a year of college eligibility so he probably jumped at a chance to come in now.
