I like it. My first reaction is that it's a very balanced schedule. Given that there are 34 other games on the schedule it appears you are correct about the BU game (last season's HE #3). We have 5 HE regular season games (1, 5, 7, 10 and 11), 2 CCHA games against that league's best team, 2 Atlantic Hockey games (#4 from last year). It will be challenging with a virtually all new team, but there are winnable games in there along with some tough matchups. The entire RPI schedule is now up.

I will hopefully remember to use 10/5 tomorrow as the next game. The BU game looks like an exhibition, but is the next game.
Perhaps, so it will be more convenient for the families of all of our European players to watch.Pretty challenging schedule. Probably won't be looking at too many non-conference wins. Weird that most of the Saturday games are at 4pm. They've never done that before and I don't understand why they're changing it
Clever.Perhaps, so it will be more convenient for the families of all of our European players to watch.![]()
The women's league schedule was posted as an Insta-Story. I posted it on their thread.
That’s a tough schedule. Not sure how many wins we get vs hockey East schools but I’m sure we won’t be losing by 6-8 goals like we were under smith. I don’t understand the 4pm Saturday games either? Sounds like RPI in the early 1960's. (That's Hilbert's Conjecture.Clever.
Now for a non-hockey note. I was just looking at our football schedule. There is a road game against Hilbert College. I've never heard of that school, but it's apparently outside Buffalo. Our schedule doesn't show it as a league game, but the Liberty League website says they are a new associate member for football only (they are shown as a league game on Union's schedule). I know the league really wanted to get back to at least 8 teams, but a quick scan of Hilbert's website shows that they are 0-25 over the last 3 seasons. A couple of years ago they played Union and lost 65-0. Last season they were 0-10 and were outscored 484-47. What possible good will come from adding them to the league?
Maybe so the visiting teams get back to their campus at a more reasonable hour. That’s a tough schedule. Not sure how many wins we get vs hockey East schools but I’m sure we won’t be losing by 6-8 goals like we were under smith. I don’t understand the 4pm Saturday games either? Very odd
That sounds good, but it doesn't explain the 11/1 home game vs. Union.Maybe so the visiting teams get back to their campus at a more reasonable hour.
It also doesn't explain why the late season Saturday home games revert to 7:00 or our Saturday road game against St. Lawrence, arguably the most difficult late night mid-winter bus trip, is at 7:00. I'm sure we'd only make such a move to help road teams if it was a standard league-wide practice the way it is for the women. That sounds good, but it doesn't explain the 11/1 home game vs. Union.![]()
its tough i kinda like it the games are cold and at night they have been going longer almost 2 and a half hours getting home at 10 pm with kids so you never knowNot apparent to me that a late afternoon starting time will be more convenient for fans. Will this help or hurt attendance?
I believe that is what's referred to as a tune-up game. LOL. Similar to when Alabama football plays against a multi-directional state school victim of the week in the early going of their fall schedule.Clever.

I don't understand or like the 4PM start times....but we're just lowly season ticket holders, why ask us ?? Ha ha....Pretty challenging schedule. Probably won't be looking at too many non-conference wins. Weird that most of the Saturday games are at 4pm. They've never done that before and I don't understand why they're changing it
