Not sure if this analysis includes the addition of Coach Weber. There is nothing about his addition on CHN I see, but the article remains on USCHO. Also CHN lists the 2018-19 roster including ET (he is not listed on the BU roster). Not sure if RPI's roster is based on any information they received or just based on who they think will be on the roster. Lastly the analysis from CHN paints a rosy picture here, but no matter how the record winds up at the end of the season, I think there will be growing pains with many new players on the team. I would be very surprised if they win many games early on, especially if they play tough NC opponents. But once things settle down and players get comfortable with each other and line combinations become established, then I think we should see improvement and more wins.

Assuming you mean this, it isn't based upon any knowledge. We could have come up with a much better approximation. 23 forwards?

I'm fairly certain it was ruined long before Twitter. I blame "texting" and IRC.

I am sure that people said the same thing about telegrams which also used a lot of abbreviations to cut down on length and cost. (Yes, that was before my time although they were still used a lot when I was young.)

We use them in amateur radio as well, although for the same reasons as telegrams.

At least with telegrams there was still some use of punctuation

Re: RPI 2018 Off-Season: The Hunt for Red October

So the press release makes no mention of a game vs. Army but the link to the schedule shows Army at home on 1/5/2019 and shows the UCONN game in Hartford on 1/16/2019 instead of 10/19/2018. Nice schedule, but would have liked to see more western teams.

They must have updated it since the time I posted, because there was originally no USMA game, and UCONN was listed as a home/home. I can understand them moving that, as traveling 2.5 hours for a home/home seems a bit much. Very nice that they'd like for us to play in Hartford, and given the AHL plays weekends, not to mention the Mayor's Cup, probably a good thing it's when it is.

Good to see it is a full schedule.
