OK, but I thought it had a little to do with leaving the Team short. After Yorkie left it was all Merriam & that turned into an awful year.

Well, there was also that Diebold kid.

Speaking of Scotty (kind of).....the new starter for Chicago, Scott Darling (S.D. also) who also played for the La. IceGators also played a season @ HFH. 2006-7 with the Capital District Selects. 2nd period Rangers underway....gotta go.

Thanks to Fresh fish,Dr D and NY hockey guy for the kind words .It was a tough day weather wise boston today. It was windy, rainy and on the cool side. I had hoped to run high 2:40s but it wasn`t meant to be.Still happy to break 3 at my age .

Today is 21 April 2015. There are 165 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 3 October 2015 for the start of next season.

Thanks for posting that. RPItv has been great from the first time I saw it and continues to get better every year. Thanks to the group at RPItv.

Certainly the best coverage in the league. It'd be something if they had the funding to uplink it to local TV networks, such as TWCS. From what I understand, though, the cost is quite high. Not to mention, they'd probably lose stream rights.

Of the players involved in the blockbuster trade that sent Evander Kane to the Buffalo Sabres on February 11, the troubled 23-year-old has always taken the spotlight. However, goaltender Jason Kasdorf should receive more attention......http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-rebuild-why-jason-kasdorf-needs-more-praise

"We're confident Jason will continue to progress his game next year at RPI and at that time be in a position to compete with several of our other young goalie prospects within our system/organization."

In other words, not a call-up to the bigs in 2015-2016. phew

Everybody who runs has their favorite conditions. I hated the rain and cold, but had my best finishing times in the damp drizzle stuff. Wind was another story, did not like it in my face and actually did not appreciate it in my back. Sounds weird but i loved 90+ and 90% humidity. In those days i had a distinct advantage being a tall slim stick figure who did not lose a lot of fluids. With the emergence of the African runners, all of whom you can actually see a weight gain if they swallow so much as an aspirin, that advantage was long gone. No way i could compete with them at the longer distances. I could still hold my own at the mile, 1500 and 5000 meters, but nothing longer. My best times were in my late teens and early twenties (not typical for the better marathon runners who often improve with age). i suppose a big part of it for me is total lack of will power. I never bet a Hostess product i did not like and Devil Dogs do not make for a great pre race meal. Congrats on a really good time in tough conditions for you. I would have been incredibly impressed if you came close to your goal of a 2:40 and got within 30 minutes of the leaders.

Great information in that post. Thanks Turk. NHL organizations are always more patient with goalies. They have had a long history of waiting for some to finally develop to be able to handle that level of play. When watching the original six play back in the old days, often you saw them bring up a new goalie at the age of 34 or 35 to become the number one on the team. Defensemen can also take some time to develop but in this modern world of 'what have you done for me lately' forwards have to make it by their early 20's or find that each year their chances diminish.

I agree too, but reliving the first Bentley game wasn't high on my to-do list. :D

Doc,you are one of the few past or present distance runners I ever heard of that liked it hot and humid. Most hate it.BTW when I said high 2:40 s I meant in the 2:45-2:49 range. Thanks again for the support.

Interesting find.

Given that the deadline to apply appears to be in three weeks, it's almost certainly a formality to renew Graham's contract. It otherwise doesn't leave much time for a serious search for a replacement.

I agree, but it is also possible that the replacement is known already.
