Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

As did Without a Peer. You're still not following our Twitter feed, Ralph? Tsk tsk.

When I wrote the parenthetical remark, I meant to write WaP, but I typed it wrong (having taken a correspondence course from Ed Weaver ;) ). Sorry. I had googled to find out more about Kelly O'Brien, and your post came up. There does not seem to be much about her out there.

I subscribe to your twitter feed, but I am not in the habit of looking at it often. I usually just go to WaP itself and see the last few posts.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

RPI recruit Ryan Haggerty was named to the US National U-18 team which will compete in Crimmitschau, Germany, in mid-April http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahockey.aspx?NAV=TU_04_02_04&id=301554. There are also two pre-tourney exhibition games in Dresden. The players are all from either the USNTDP U-17 or U-18 teams.

Good catch RB. That is good news...Looking forward to seeing him. He's essentially played a D1 schedule, so he should be prepped to contribute right away for us. At 6'0 185, he has the makings of a solid kid

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

Haaaa! love it Turk! I actually didn't know Tie Jr. was an up and comer...how cool would it be to have "Domi" on the back of an RPI jersey...now there's a jersey auction that would raise some $$$$ !

We would buy our season tickets again immediately to see that!

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

On Thursday, the Wellington Dukes defeated the Stouffville Spirit 3-2. Wellington wins the best-of-7 playoff series 4-2. Curtis Leonard had no points or penalties. Matt Neal had two assists. Neal's season is over. http://ojhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1556697

Leonard's line is now 15-2-2-4-14.
Total 63-4-22-26-36.
Neal's line is now 19-10-20-30-16.
Total 69-50-80-130-36.

Neal didn't quite even things out again. He needed one more game with two minor penalties. :)

Heres the game 6 highlights, Neal came really close to tieing the game in the final minute with a wide open shot from the high slot but the Dukes tender came up with a big save.

I hate to break it, but I don't think Max would be playing college hockey. Tie is only threatening to do this because he wants his son to get the best slot in the OHL.

On Friday, the Oakville Blades defeated the Kingston Voyageurs 5-0 to win their best-of-7 playoff series 4-3. Mark McGowan had a goal amd an assist. http://ojhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1555723

McGowan's line is now 18-8-7-15-26.
Total 63-33-37-70-76.

Edit: Oakville will face Wellington in the OJHL finals. That means one of our recruits is guaranteed to be playing for the Dudley Hewitt Cup, the tourney for the Central representative in the Royal Bank Cup. Since Cornwall, Portage, and Vernon are still alive, conceivably RPI recruits could be on all four non-host teams for the RBC. (Click National Playoff Bracket under Event on the left at http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php/ci_id/73728/la_id/1.htm. That will open a PDF file.)
