Re: RPI 2011-12 Part V: Don't Stop Believing

Someone needs to start a fight to get this thread aging properly.

Some in the media (look west) and the league (Stewie) have treated SA unfairly. The Appert haters who want his head are all wet, we're lucky to have him. We should ditch the lousy refs and the subpar league to go to greener pastures and troyboy and I are the best posters on this thread.

Let the brawling begin!!!!

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part V: Don't Stop Believing

Someone needs to start a fight to get this thread aging properly. I can't bear having Steve Perry in my head all day long day after day. Sometimes I can re-channel my mind to a song like "Wheel in the Sky" and it gets a little better. Other times all I think of is the last episode of the Sopranos and how disappointing it was. Very effective job you've done AD.

I find this helps:

Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say O.K.
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you
It's true

You're motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight

Babe you know
You're growing up so fast
And mama's worrying
That you won't last
To say let's play
Sister Christian
There's so much in life Don't you give it up
Before your time is due
It's true
It's true yeah

Motoring
What's your price for flight
You've got him in your sight
And driving thru the night
Motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight

Motoring
What's your price for flight
In finding mister right
You'll be alright tonight
(repeat)

Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say O.K.
But you're motoring
You're motoring

:D

Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
he took the midnight train goin everywhere

fr joe, as a youngster the men of the cloth that guided us through the 1950s and 60s would frown upon us listening to the devil worshiping rock and roll.
I wonder what they would think of your quoting such music. ;)

There was King David, who we read about in Samuel, and what did David do... what did David do... David... DANCED... before the Lord... with all his might.

I doubt that I will go since I can watch at home, but the RPI and Cornell DC Alumni Assns will be showing next week's game at the Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington, VA.

I have the Harvard game broadcasting soon on one channel and the Cornell game on another-along with watching RPI on the web and listening on WRPI I think my head will be on a swivel.

Reminds me of a great scene from that classic movie, The Man who Fell to Earth.

Things definitely looking up in Troy after tonight. Solid RPI performance in most respects. I will wait until I see how we play tomorrow. We have started a turn around-now let's see if we can complete it.

at least for one day, no longer 12th in a 12-team league.....

oh, well, at least we clinched a spot in the playoffs.;)

Outscoring the opoposition 9-1 in the last 3 ECAC games. Atmosphere just has to be so much better in that locker room.

On a side note, my nephew plays with the East Coast Wizards which is a program run by the Fusco brothers. He will be playing in a 5 minute mini-game between periods of the Harvard RPI game. We've been offered discount tickets to join them. II hope that they appreciate my son routing like crazy against the Crimson while sitting among a group of Harvard Hockey Alums:D.

I will be heading to the Harvard-RPI game at Harvard in a few weeks and look forward to seeing some intermission hockey...

Coach Appert should be fired still, the league refs are wonderful and this is the toughest league in the country...you have no knowledge of college hockey and its amazing they allow you to enter a ice rink.....:) Brawl on Mayor of Section 9, Brawl on.
