On the Capital Region College Hockey Report, SA states he only has 6 seniors, not 7. Yet I count 8 on the roster???? Malchuk I know is a 5th yr senior.....who has left?
I know we have had a difficult time scoring all season-as evidenced by our 1.74 goals per game. What I did not realize is that this figure is the lowest in RPI hockey history since 1937. Even the 1965-66 team which could not compete against anyone had a higher number for goals scored per game.![]()
The roster from uscho has 8 seniors listed Bergin, Malchuk, Burgdoerfer, Smith, AAG, Cullen, Rabbani and Coupal. The roster from rpiathletics.com has 6 listed Bergin, Smith, AAG, Cullen, Rabbani and Coupal. Malchuk is listed as a grad student and Burgdoerfer is listed as a junior. So perhaps Burgdoerfer will be returning next season...On the Capital Region College Hockey Report, SA states he only has 6 seniors, not 7. Yet I count 8 on the roster???? Ralph, I can't read the first page of the game thread. Your post is making the whole screen blue.

The pads also weren't half the size of the goal back then.
Terrible game, terrible preparation - it looked like we had never practiced all year. Terrible coach.
Players win, coaches lose. We happen to lose, and the morons come in looking for Appert's head.
Hey Ralph, got you covered. Ed Weaver's take http://www.troyrecord.com/articles/2012/02/18/sports/doc4f4083c3be44b653508357.txt?viewmode=fullstory
You might be the moron for accepting what has been........less than what is expected based on what has been made available to SA for him and the program to be successful!
Look, SA took over a lousy program, and immediately brought in very good coaches and very good players.
Even without winning the first few years, you could see the improvement in the system.
I think his problem is, he doesn't understand the mental part of the game.
Instead of getting up for big games (and there are big games), his team comes out nervous and unprepared.
Instead of pressing the point when they score a big goal, they sit back and give it back.
When he took this job, he had never been a head coach in D-1 hockey before. He needs to grow in his job, If he doesn't adjust after this season, then I too might jump on the fire SA bandwagon. But for now, I am willing to give him one more season.
