Ralph: Now that BP is gone, do you think Seth is parked in the Spinks' driveway with an envelope in his hand? Ha ha

I would think that we would be interested, but I have no knowledge that they are targets. There are probably higher rated players out there.

At this point I'd be more than happy with more Polaceks, or McIntyres or MVTs --kids who bury pucks AND value education too...I've had my fill of window dressing for a while..we need more committed kids who want to stay and win...

Just a suggestion, the next thread title should be "The summer of our discontent"

I know that it is mine.:(

Re: RPI 2010 Off-season thread V: Captain Kennedy and the A-Team

With the timing of this decision it seems to me it was driven by the player-BP and to be honest I think it is a very selfish move on his part and perhaps not the smartest move for his career. After saying that it is time to stop the whining and just move forward. I have faith in this team and believe good things are coming for these players. Enough of BP and DAmigo-they chose to move on and it is time this board does the same. Let's get back to RPI hockey and the season ahead.

The 2010-11 schedule on the ECAC website has RPI playing the University of New Brunswick in an exhibition game on October 2nd. As of last week UNB was suppose to be playing UMass-Amherst on the 2nd. I wonder if plans fell through with UMass or if its just an error on the league schedule.

Will the countdown skip ahead 6 days? ;)

I agree.
This will be a test for the coach. He will have to convince this team that they can win without BP and JDA.
It will not be easy.
I still believe that we have a very talented offensive team. The question is, does the team believe that?
My guess is that the pre season poll for the ECAC will have us going from a top three team, to a bottom five team.
Personally, I think we are somewhere in the middle, with big upside potential if the coach can convince the players that if they stay in the system and play to their ability, they can still be a top three team.

Thanks babo for the encouraging words, I always feel much better when the drop the puck.
Lets play hockey:D

FWIW - these two put up 117 pts. trailing only JL...2nd (Tyson - 5'7 175 ) & 3rd (Tylor 5'8 - 160) in their first year in the league and were heavily recruited by MJ's. MacInnis' comment that they're maturing physically appeals to me as well.

I have to think we're in the hunt...that is if Seth has been able to pick up the slack that Monty's departure left.

I would think that Nolan Graham is out there recruiting.

FWIW - Both the UNB and the UMass websites list the 10/2 tilt.
