Seriously, is there a way to find out how JL did on his SAT's? Has there been any more news on him? Is this another flashpoint?

There is. Drive up to Canada and ask him yourself.

I wouldn't waste your gas or frequent flyer miles over this haha. Plus imagine explaining to the border crossing guard that your only visiting Canada to ask about a SAT score.

I found some rare video of how Coach Appert first met the BRO :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10f37Zex_o8
Excellent...kind of reminds me of the tab I ran with the glass repairman while the B.R.O. was little...taped checks to the broken garage door panes and the guy would joke that hockey was good for his business...

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season III -- How we learned to stop worrying and love the Class of

I'm glad to hear Seth isn't letting his frequent flyer miles stack up...:p Now we can cut RB loose on who Appert has on his wish list....:D

I think RPI's recruitment successes will now feed more on themselves; more wins = more interest from a greater number of players in the years since SA took over = even more wins and easier recruitment successes. these are exciting times for the coaching staff, the fans and the young men who make the sacrifices to be the best they can be. It's a great time to be an RPI fan.

RB - I can only find info on him for 16 RS games in O'ville last season...? From that radio interview (which was painfully awful to listen to, thanks to the moron with the mike) its sounds like we missed him on a visit? Or did am I forgetting that he came?

jstadts ID'd him http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=4681188&postcount=628

It was a rather painful interview, but Beyers handled it well.

Mr. Baer I was wondering when you would have an update on SATs of JL.
I have heard nothing and doubt that I will.

Seriously, is there a way to find out how JL did on his SAT's? Has there been any more news on him? Is this another flashpoint?
I have been checking the Standard Freeholder regularly, but his name hasn't come up recently.

Worrying about JL is about the last thing anyone should be doing.

Out of sight, out of mind. Why not? That's the same approach JL has seemingly taken with RPI.

Re: RPI 2010 Off-Season III -- How we learned to stop worrying and love the Class of '14

I recall some forward from Army skating around an RPI freshman d making toast of him for a goal. Seems to happen sometimes to freshman so I am not surprised it happened to Curadi before he was a freshmen. Oates made seniors look silly. Seth and the coaches apparently realized correctly he needed some seasoning. Oh that freshman's nameI think it was HAMMOND. thats right Ken Hammond. Did he turn out alright?? Seth has a good eye for talent so I think Mr. C will be fine even if it takes a year or so.

By the way Babo, a late welcome to the RPI family from me. I get to see a game or two in my travels and all of the ECAC championships lately. Pehaps we will catch up with you and DR D in AC!!

HM: thanks. we will b at as many RPI games this year as is humanly possible. We saw a few last year and I cannot wait to see how the boys do this year...I know there will be conflicts with DFS games but that's a good problem to have...we .look forward to total immersion into the Engineer hockey culture. (Doc & Jenny introduced me to Van Gogh Dutch Caramel so
i am obliged to thank them in person) :)

Above all else... I am most proud of this hockey program for this accolade...yes, there is much to be done. But these young men and women make the RPI community proud to have student/athlete 'rock stars'...and make the rest of the hockey community respect them for that 'double major'. Congratulations to the 32 intellectual stud muffins who proudly represent the Engineers.

Beyers interview http://afootinthecrease.com/index.php?post_id=623984 about his draft prospects and other things starting at about 1:06:00. He lists about ten NHL teams whom he has spoken to. He was asked about the effects of his injuries. He compares himself to Patrick Kane. He mentions at about 1:13 that he has been to Michigan, Wisconsin, and RPI. So that must be our competition.

5.5 Earthquake hits Quebec this afternoon...Reports say it was a combination of shock on what JL scored on his SAT's and the BRO just doing his usual daily workout of clearing forests and catching fish by hand.
