Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Does the 7:37 and 7:07 starts mean a chance for these games to be on TV? I would assume Fox College Sports would have them if they were.

DU is the more popular school in the Colorado area and FSN likes to broadcast all of their games. However, DU is going to be playing at UVM that weekend, so don't rule out the possibility that the Engineers are going to be on TV (although I'd say that the likelihood of it actually hapenning is pretty low).

where is here?

The score thread in Forum 7 (DI hockey is 4, Cafe is 10, etc... well, score threads are 7). I've been up for a couple Alaska games on the sore thread. However, with RC's WaP becoming more and more involved and being more technologically advanced, I think the party is going to head over to WaP for game threads.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Bummed out thought I would have seen more stuff about Dale Watson on this board.
He was a true Cherry and White hockey hero! He was the leader of one of the most colorful ECAC teams. When Scammel Waton & Law took the the ice
anything could happen.
Dale Watson made Doug Hearns a hero. He scored the late goal against Ken Dryden to put that game into OT. Cornell was a power
Dale's freshman team beat Cornell's frosh team.
RIP Dale

For you old guys: remember the gentleman that stood on the ladder at each end of the ice snappin photos. Had to get over the fence at each end to get "the shot" He was freelance but his hockey shots always made the Record. He had some great photos. He was a cool guy.
RIP Billy DePhillips

In honor of Guy Leboeuf, today is 2 October 2010. There are 3 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 5 October for the start of next season.

The Hearns goal against Cornell is my favorite RPI memory of all time. Yes, Watson did set this all up with the late goal to tie it against Dryden.
Your reference to the guy on the ladder brings back a very foggy and distant memory of it but I do not remember him well. I do, however, remember the fence around the rink before the glass was put in.:)

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Maybe he will play D for tonight just so coach can check out the other forwards to see what he has.

If Brut played forward, each team would have 9 forwards, 4 defensemen, and I assume the goaltenders would rotate around.

Who knows then why he is listed as a D man. Guess we will find out in a couple hours.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Matt Tinordi is listed as 24 years old. Is that correct?

I was asking myself that question as well when I saw that. The RPI athletics website has his birthday as Nov. 9, 1985 so I guess he is 24. Wow crazy im going to be 26 in 3 weeks and have been out of college for 4 years.
