Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Is that goal on line somewhere?

I hope that you are right, and I can see it happening as his career progresses, but he wasn't a truly dominating player in the BCHL, so it might take him a while to fit in.

RB - I dont know but hope it is somewhere. The kid just kinda reappeared on the other side of the D and snapped a shot off the inside crossbar that you could hear throught the Field House. Even my 13 yr old was like "**** !". Like I have posted already, was keeping pace and then just all of a sudden was gone. If I find (or someone else links if out there), I'll watch everyday and think sweet thoughts of this program for the days ahead.

We have, of course, seen the video of him splitting the D last year. :)

Interview w/Appert airing now on WRPI --- Seth said C.C. will be coming to Troy next year.
Excellent! Correct me if im wrong but I dont think we've had a WCHA team in the fieldhouse since St. Cloud in 2003. Looks like next seasons n/c schedule is starting to take some shape already.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Union waxed SH 9-0 and UNO slaughtered Clarkson 8-0. :D UNO had 60 (not a misprint) shots on goal....wow.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Just back 2-1 loss
lines
Helfrich McGrady Polacek
Brutlag Malchuk AAG
Lee Rogic Cullen
Burg Halpern lost my note?
Kennedy Leb
Foss Bergin
Bailen Dolan
Brutlag line was the best all nite all over the place He was all over Hit the post on a nice two on one Higgs was good enough to play on the pp needs to be a little quicker and strong but he looks good
first cc goal 5 on 3 deflected point shot in front no chance for York
2nd was a pp goal point shot over the net and bounced right to a cc in front who put it in I thought York had no chance either in the first period he looked a little unsure kept looking back over his shoulder but 2 & 3rd he was really good made a great save on semi breakaway in the 2nd

Dolan looked ok just needs a little experience Higgs looked good Lee could have had two goals on some great moves Kennedy had the best chance on the pp 20 feet out but blasted it over the goal instead of a well placed wrister

cc stopped the pp all nite long by clogging up the middle just in front of the net need to go wide and tip in.

CC did not like to be hit got a little chippy but tomorrow I think the hitting will continue
refs were pretty good until 120 of 2nd Kennedy finished his checked & got called for int the play we all hate cc player went down like he was shot same in the 3rd on the gw goal should have been no call
Rpi goal in the third was legit the puck went in the net on a scramble in front and the red light went on then the ref in back of net who apparently did not see the puck go in and of course did not see the red light blew the play dead clearly seconds after the puck was in and red light on I don't know what they were looking at on the replay but it looked like a good goal we were sitting right there that side of the ice. look for a split Sat

Bailen was as advertised

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

Josh Jooris with a hat trick as well in his first ncaa game for Union.  He would have looked just as good as his father in the cherry and white.

Clearly, SH is missing the departed Bear Trapp.:D Had he played, it would have been a 10-9 win. :D

Why was JFK playing on the PP? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the guy, but we've gotta have Bailen and/or Bergin's shot out there on the PP. It sure sounded like we had plenty of chances to bury pucks. Hopefully, the team will return the favor tonight. We'll see what the travel, altitude and killing 10 or so penalties does to their legs today.

Re: RPI 2010-11: Houston, We've had a Facelift!

I could see Tinordi replacing Halpern & Koudys for Dolan...York stays in net tonight, split in net next weekend
