Both fan bases, from the sounds of things. It's been a tough year to date for these programs.

We're a resilient bunch in Troy. We're New Yorkers, we bounce back from disaster quicker.

Ever wonder why it took the Red Sox 86 years to win, or why it took BC 52? Lack of resilience.

I don't even remember what happened yesterday anymore.

Glad you didn't throw BU in there; we only took 17- and 14-year catnaps between ours. (Speaking as a BU alumnus rather than the ECAC Hockey correspondent, of course.) I'll be at the game as well, so maybe we'll cross paths.

You mean, you aren't afraid of crossing paths with big bad Red Cloud? :D

Compared to last season, this year for RPI is quite delightful. There's already been more fun and enjoyable games to be at this year than all of last year.

That said, tomorrow's (today's?) game is not for the faint of heart. In fact, this game is practically emo with fans from both sides wondering what could go wrong next.

If you are a masochist and enjoy last-minute defeats. I do agree that overall the season-to-date ahs been more enjoyable then any of the last few.

We'll be missing Kerins for his DQ, and JD'A who, according to the Record, will sit out. Assuming that Lee isn't back, we will be missing a lot of offense, and I doubt that Bergin will play either.

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

So what should we do for the next title? "Looking for Sixty Minutes of Play"?

Usually if we play an entire game (or darn close to it), we'll win, where as if we slack off for a half-period or so (or more), we'll lose.

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

I think we will put out a win tonight. We came close Wednesday. It just wasn't meant to be. We are not a bad team; look how many goals we have scored this year. I think York and the devense will get better. I'm sure York will work on his weakness non stop the next few weeks, to be ready for January. Bergin will be back by then as well to give our devense a lift. As long as they can pull it together when the playoffs come around I'm not concerned. For most games RPI played good hockey, and they showed they can play with anybody. I think we will be under the radar for games to come, because of our record. But we showed we can beat anybody ant any giving day. What a big improvement from last year.

Any other suggestions? Also, any suggestions for the next recruit thread? We do have a suggestion from GLM, namely "The Mighty Quinn", for the recruit thread, assuming that Manfred Mann allows us to use it. ;) http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=4353901&postcount=486

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

I like the first one, although not being sure what it means, it may not be appropriate.

We might not find out what it means until the season is over. You could make it RPI- one shift at a time....but I think 32 seconds-make it count .....sounds so much better. Whatever "32 seconds" means, I'm sure it's a motivational saying which would be very appropriate for this fan thread.

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

With that out of the way, looking at the league stats, I will mention that "that cs" another poster inappropriately deemed happens to be tied with or is very close (on either the over or under side depending on the stat) to Chase Polacek in a quite a few of the scoring stats for the league thus far.

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

How about "RPI 2009-2010: Time to put the last decade behind us!"

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

I'mma take care of this, Ralph. We're good.

OK, it's yours, just please include the "RPI 2009 - 2000 Part III:". We"ll get there for the 10:32 thread closing. :D

And I am not relinquishing the recruit thread. :p
