I think that I am very glad my participation in RPISPORT-L went at the same time my traditional .edu address did.

If you want to see something truly disturbing, look up "Hockey Jockey" on Urban Dictionary, which apparently is Ralph's favorite site and everything on there is true.

It isn't my favorite site at all. It's just a good place to help translate what people a generation or so younger than me write. :p

Shawn Grant (volunteer) Cornell...Ian Burt was there last year. (volunteer)

As oppose as I am to doing the knuckledraggers work for him, here's some more:
Union - Jason Tapp (Volunteer)
Q'pac - Justin Eddy
Gate - Jason Lefevre
Harvard - Bruce Irving
Brown - Brian Eklund
SLU - Andrew Allan
Yale - Formerly some no-name guy Richter, now some guy named Allain:p
D'mouth - Some guy named Gaudet, but he was mediocre as a player, so he'll never be any good as a coach

I could go on, but the ref has called the fight...:D

So that accounts for everyone but Princeton. I suspect that is still Neil Little. Who, he? ;)

I don't know where you got the impression it was a fight? I merely asked a question, and thank you for the answer beyond expectations!!

Generally speaking, when a post is followed by symbols such as :D , it is meant to express humor or levity, i.e. I WAS KIDDING! :p

Not what I said. This was not a black and white situation. Is there no room for nuance in your world?

You can nuance yourself to death for all I care, knock yourself out. I stated my opinion on the matter. You can declare your "facts" all you like, thats why we're all here Tricky.

You're off a touch. Neurons dying a slow, painful death?

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

Now can't we all just get along. :D

We can. It's a real simple process, if people would just follow simple guidelines.

1) Don't make outlandish statements about things you don't know anything about.

2) Don't attack people who are making reasonable statements about things they DO know something about.

3) Don't be overly optimistic or pessimistic. Neither are productive.

4) Don't provoke Red Cloud.

Follow these rules, and you'll never ever, ever have a problem with me. Follow them not, and somehow I'm the arse.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Re: RPI 2009 - 2010 Part II: I Believe in Seth Appert

Good call.

Andrew Martin in Alford's freshman season got a time split similar to what Lange and York had last year. That's sort of, semi-fair, but to that end... Really? A Fairfield pick off the scrap heap when they folded gets to carry the load? Dumb.

Then, yes, the following year Alford was supplanted by freshman Lange with Lange playing 35 out of 40 games.

Inexcusable.

It isn't a question of being fair. Who gives you a better chance to win? Fridgen thought Lange was better. Alford had a lot of potential coming to RPI, but he certainly didn't live up the hype. I am sure Fridgen was as disappointed as anyone. But to blame Fridgen for Alford letting in soft goals is just wrong. I attended most of RPI's home games and Lange was better. JA would make some great saves then ughhh. You could see the game change right there. It wasn't all Alford's fault. A good team would rally and a weak team would fold. Unfortunately, the engineer's folded.
Seth will use York more than 75%. Won't he?
