I didn't want to reply to this in the Yale thread since I didn't want to force them off track, but after so many years, it's good to hear someone say something like this again. :D

Good god, RPI and Yale better not meet in the playoffs! That'd be the worst possible matchup for us!

I believe I wrote something to that effect on the game thread following the win.:p Allain better hope he doesn't see us ...after failing to offer even the mildest of acknowledgments for our play on Sat. night.

I would venture a guess that the Yale fan with whom we spoke after the game was the author of that post. He wore his Yale Jersey as though it was a shroud. I thought he was despondent.:( He repeated more than once that RPI was a team that Yale needed to worry about.:D

Re: RPI 2009-10 Part IV: The Boys are Back in Town

And now for something completely different.

This week's WAP feature focuses on the Ring of Honor and discusses some potential future inductees in a number of different categories. Check it out and vote in the poll.

I'm down for Abbie Moore-just believing in recognizing the old timers who still sit atop the RPI record books and also because he has reached an age which makes it more urgent to be inducted in the near future. If I could have entered a second vote, it would have been for Cindy Acropolis-she just dominated women's hockey during her tenure at RPI and her numbers may not be reached again at RPI.

I had been led to believe that Mr. Moore is deceased. Ralph would know better than I.

Darn-I thought he was still with us. :( Like the list you came up with though. Most are Ring worthy at some time if not soon.

Holy mackerel,Babo...... that is REALLY heady stuff!!!! I was NOT
the author of the post in question, but I believe I WAS the "despondent"
guy you allude to (OOOPPPS, there I go ending a sentence with a prepositon).
Yeah, I hate to see Yale lose, but "despondent"? ....... NO WAY!!!!! In my line of work, I see REAL MISERY every day of my professional life.
To emphasize the point that I made post-game, RPI scorched the
Bulldogs in a fashion that I have not seen in several years. And yes, having lost 5-2 and 4-0, I would be DELIGHTED not to see them again this year! With everyone healthy, and D'Amigo not off showcasing his talents elsewhere, RPI is as talented a team as I have seen all year....... and that
includes Cornell, Wisconsin, B.C. and Ferris State
On a lighter note, if I choose (hopefully MANY years from now) to
be laid to rest in my Yale hockey jersey (BTW, having won the raffle FRIDAY
night, I NOW have two....... #7 and #11 (how's THAT for luck) will the jersey some day be referred to as The Shroud of New Haven? ROFL.

yaledoc - point of order. You don't have to hit the enter or return key when you reach the end of the box you type your posts into. It automatically wraps the text for you. Makes your posts easier for everyone to read. :)

"I have come to know Seth (Appert) and we talk," Addesa said. "We talk on a somewhat regular basis. I am thrilled things are starting to go in the direction we want them to go. I take a lot of pride in the program and, hopefully, it can get to what it was one day again."

Interesting to know they keep in touch
