RIT Women 2010 offseason

Re: RIT Women 2010 offseason

Torgerson was gone long before Chamberlain came on the scene.

Look for King to be gone next.

King won the starting job by the end of the year. I doubt she'll leave just because a younger goalie is coming. Some people are afraid of a little competition, some aren't.

Every team would be in trouble if their older goalies left every time a freshman arrived. But they could have gone with the Elmira way of getting goalies and just brought three in during the same year.

Re: RIT Women 2010 offseason

Was talking to Scotty today. He's very excited for this coming season. The new goaltender, Laura Chaimberlain, looks to be the real deal. He invited me to come sit in on a full practice this week so I may take him up on that, since he isn't allowed to be coaching yet anyhow. I'm looking forward to this season.

I'll bring any other news when I have it.

I wonder if it might be possible to, some year, swing a homecoming double header with the ladies at BCA before the men's game?

I doubt they would even try. We spent probably a couple weeks trying to get people to come to the Plattsburgh game 2 years ago and we still only got 1,100ish people. Even if they marketed it months ahead of time they'd be lucky if they could get more than 2k.
