Only for club or higher level seats.

OK, thanks. Higher level seats as in the suites, I assume?

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

What the hell happened?

We gave up 2 early goals on flukey / bad bounces. Basically HC spent about 30 seconds in our zone for the entire first period and got 2 goals out of it otherwise the puck was in their end for most of it. Still, we didn't get too many quality scoring chances in spite of RIT's edge in puck possession.

Personally, I felt we didn't play with enough grit. We did not hit and battle like I saw against Brock, St-Lawrence and Clarkson and HC is all about grit and slowing down the play with sloppy play and getting in the way. Lot's of interference in front of their net that they got away with too.

I find our top line tries to be too pretty - especially on the PP. No one goes to the front of the net and they want to make pretty tic-tac-toe plays instead of getting pucks to the net for ugly goals so consequently, we didn't get many good chances and finally scored late in the second and then tied it up pretty late in the third only to let HC come right back and score. Garbo tied it again with about a minute to play and that's how it ended.

Someone on the team must agree with my view because on their last PP, Mitchell was parked in front instead of off to the side. 2nd line did nothing for much of the game and really, haven't seen much from them most games. The third line is much more effective in my opinion and the 4th line had some good shifts tonight too. Perron-Fontaine was back on the blue line and Shumway, Fostvelt and Amlong sat.

Ruby got the start and played well, making some big saves. Couldn't really fault him on the goals and I would expect him to get tomorrow's start.

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Wasn't a bad game at all. Perron-Fontaine had a nightmare of a first period. He's in a tough spot switching between forward and defense, it's incredibly difficult to do at this level of competitive hockey. Ruby might have gotten bailed out by a quick whistle, but the save he made on the one-timer from the slot after getting bowled over in the 3rd....

The 3rd Holy Cross goal was just a hell of a pass from Barrett. Absolute sauce. It's a shame the TW telecast doesn't have the hockey knowledge to accurately praise both that pass and the play by Josh Mitchell on the tying goal. He didn't freaking lose the puck, he intentionally played it to Garbowsky going against the flow of the two defensemen and the flailing goalie. Fantastic play by Mitchell there. It was good to see them fight back after a couple early mistakes and what could have been a back breaking 3rd Holy Cross goal. The results have been hit and miss, but this team is super young and it feels much more promising than the last couple of years.

It's amazing how he makes routine saves seem so difficult. He's constantly sprawling and out of position and has a way of making even the easiest of shots look like desperation saves. I too suspect he will start tonight, because we didn't lose, but he still is clearly not "the guy" the way he plays.

I was just glad the Tigers fought back. Going down 2-0 early can be rough, and when HC went up 3-2 late I could completely imagine the Tigers phoning it in and thinking they'll just get 'em tomorrow night. Glad that they kept on battling and were rewarded. Their first two goals were prime examples of why this team needs to just SHOOT THE PUCK more often. For as much as Wilson always says we're too pretty and don't just throw the puck at the net...his teams never seem to listen to that message.

Er, did you see the first goal?

That ridiculous miscue aside, I thought Ruby played very well, particularly in the second period. I have no problem starting him tonight, but I'd have no trouble seeing Rotolo either.

A tie... I think Jordan Ruby needs to be done for the season.

Who do you put in? Rotolo hasn't really been much better - look at the stats? MacLean is really a mop up guy, though he played pretty well in his one start against Clarkson. Ruby is playing the best of the goalies we have now. I expect he gets the start tonight.

I don't think "THE GUY" is on our roster yet - unless someone improves.

Stats are misleading as they are still skewed heavily by him having to play Boston College. Let's not forget he held Air Force to 1 in the following start. Let's not crucify the guy for struggling against Boston College and now #18 RMU.

Not crucifying him, as no doubt he will get plenty of chances to play unless Ruby shows himself to be superior. An .845 save percentage is not very good any way you slice it.

Your announcers don't know about the new schedule in the AHA. "Holy Cross can feast on the weak eastern teams"

Considering they write for USCHO (and Chris Lerch is one of the announcers), i'd bet they do :p

I'm not listening, but I'm sure they just meant geographically, not the pods.

I don't remember us mentioning that at all tonight.

Maybe it was a quote from the TV guys? That would make sense. The only thing those two know less about than hockey is college hockey.

Good point - I assumed radio, could have been TV...Sorry Ed!

RIT played amazing in the first, and completely shut down in the 3rd. Frustrating to only get 1 point at home against Holy Cross..

Played amazing except for the lack of scoring. My guess is they left it all on the ice in the 1st and into the 2nd and had nothing left for the third, especially after Friday's game.

Only thing I can add is that when they didn't get a goal after all the good work in the first, they got frustrated and Holy Cross adjusted. Having to kill off all those penalties in the 3rd where they eventually let one in couldn't help.

I don't want to call next weekend must win games, but they need to start picking up some points quickly.
