You think he'll get a better offer or doesn't want to battle Madolora for the starting job and sit on the bench for a season as to why he may not come?

While I'm hardly an expert so this may or not be feasible, I could see some Major juniors team telling him that he may not get as much PT and that they will give him more so that he is better prepared for the next level.

When RIT was recruiting him, I don't think they thought that Madolora would have the amazing season that he did. Getting Ruby in would give Coach a great problem.

I doubt he would end up in the Major Juniors since they have a limit on 20 year old players (3 per team). I can't see a decent team taking a chance on an unproven goaltender.

Didn't know that. Then I guess Coach Wilson might have a problem most coachs wish they had with who is #1 - the 2nd team INCH All American and the freshman that is a top 25 North American goaltender for the draft.

I guess we'll go through another round of goalie rotations to see who's hot next season to see who get's the job.

Now that the Frozen Four is over (congrat's to UMD), how long till next year's schedule comes out?
Summers too far away to wait for it.

RIT is traditionally one of the last teams to officially release their schedule. Some people start to put together the schedule as other teams release their's.

Didn't know that.

I think it a fairly new rule. They limit the number of 16 year olds and 20 years old per team.

I thought I read somewhere that the AHA was going to put out the schedule after the FF was done. If not, I'm hoping Mar puts up a composite schedule again.

For any of you Sports Illustrated subscribers, there's a small picture of Simon Lambert in this previous week's issue on page 28. It's part of a blurb about the Belfast Giants.

Thanks, wasn't sure it was a new one.

Where did the schedule come from?

There's a 2011 season thread going on, it can be found on the main page and some schools are already selling season tickets for next year and show RIT on the schedule, RPI for one over thanksgiving.

Thanks Mar

Thanks Mar

started it last week :)
and yes, the schedule at the top comes from other school's announcements. Everything at the bottom is what I expect to be scheduled based on last year's conference schedule and other OOC mentions.

I would be surprised if Madolora has to fight for the starting job. He's an upperclassmen who was extremely dominant last year and posted some gaudy numbers. Just like DeMike before him, I think he has complete job security until he does something to lose it. They may split starts very early, but I fully expect that for AHA games Madolora will be #1 from the outset.

I believe RIT will be jumping into conference play earlier than usual based on their non-conference games. The Wisco games are in December. The Catamount Classic is over New Years. RPI (and Union?) are in November. That leaves only the St. Lawrence game for October.

I hated the split goalies last year, Tigers could have had a better OOC record with Madolora betweent he pipes (IMHO) during those games. Winning in conference is important but if you don't win the tourney in the AHA, having a bunch of OOC wins gives you a better chance at that at-large spot.

I think the bum ankle to start the season really put a crimp into his playing time at the start of the season. Besides lots of folks lost patience with him based on his first start of the year against Lowell.

With as good as this guy is supposed to be, maybe it's time the band dropped Louie, Louie (actually that time was a long time ago) and picked up Ruby Soho.
