Went to Gordon FH this afternoon to buy my season tix. It was worth going to see the pics of the view from each section, and then choosing the actual seats I'll have all season. Perhaps the school will eventually do all this on the 'net, but for now it'll do. I'm just thrilled not to have to sit on bleachers any more. Seats still avg out to $13/game.

That's awesome! I'm getting all hyped about the new Arena and I realistically won't see a game player there for several years. It almost makes me want to move back to Rochester... almost.

Some people in our group opted for Club seating and some opted for regular reserved seating... ALL of us have great seats for the season! :)

Looks like Canisius may have an issue with their exhibition game as the location is TBD. My guess is the Harbor Center may not be ready for that date. On the plus side for the Griffs is they will play Western Michigan at First Niagara Center and the will welcome their Coach's al mater Ohio State to the Harbor Center.

If there is one complaint I have about this coming year is the lack of a big name team coming to the Polisseni Center. With respect to the ECAC teams that are coming it would have been nice to see the Men get a team from Hockey East, NCHA, or Big Ten to play at the Polisseni Center. The women were able to lock up a few nice games there. Yes I know BC is coming to town and that is big and should be played at Blue Cross. But I feel greedy...

The Buffalo News is reporting that HarborCenter is delayed until at least the end of October, and I am hearing from other sources that it might be later. RIT is supposed to play there 11/14 and 11/15. The Sabres are out of town that weekend so I'm assuming if the new building isn't ready by then those games will also be at First Niagara.

Well lets hope its not done by then. More Tiger fans will be able to attend the game if its in First Niagara instead of the HarborCenter.

Considering RIT has never (in my time attending...) completely filled Buff State's arena, I don't forsee an issue at the HarborCenter. (Both are 1800 seats)

Just got back from a tour of the rink... some things I observed/learned:
- 45 days until Certificate of Occupancy!
- The first section of seats is almost fully installed... probably will be completed later today
- Starting to paint some walls orange in the main lobby
- Actually had stairs to the second floor (the last two tours I had, I had to climb scaffolding)
- Overhead lights and speakers are installed
- Drink rails on second floor are in
- There were many windows on the second floor that were originally frosted glass... they have been changed over to clear glass for a good view of the athletic field next to the rink (expensive change-over!)
- Boards will be installed in the next few weeks (after completion of seat installation)
- There will be a new Zamboni... two will be used to clean the ice between periods at games
- The first ice sheet will be laid down in a few weeks to test out the system (everyone cross your fingers for success with few problems!)

They just announced on facebook that season ticket sales were open to everyone. Maybe that caused some issues.
