The mens hockey team participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge yesterday in front of the Gene Polisseni Center. They nominated the pep band, the Corner Crew, some Atlantic Hockey brass as well as Clarkson and St. Lawrence

Last season I kept thinking that Roto had a lot of potential in him. Physically and mentally, he's all that we could ask for. I hope that this off season treated him well and that we won't have to question goal tending for three more years.

I think we see 2 starts from both Rotolo and Ruby in the first four game and if either guy is stronger we will see him when they head out to Air Force to start AHA play...

If I had to put money on it, I'd say Rotolo will be the guy, but if he slumps Rotolo will be right there...

Not necessarily. He could still be playing poorly but just less poorly than Rotolo. Just because someone is the starter doesn't mean they are playing well.

Exactly. If the best goaltending this team can pull together is Ruby, than it's going to be a bad time.

Let's not forget that Ruby beat out Watson for the job...didn't keep Ruby from being bad, just meant he was better than Watson.

Hopefully our defense improves this year and there is less pressure on any of our goalies, though.

A livestream will be connecting Henrietta to all of RIT's campuses (Dubai, Kosovo, and the two in Croatia) where they will also be having parties.

Totally. The gel they have from playing together alone can help things a ton.

I'm pretty curious to see Mikowski in action. That dude seems huge and if he's willing to throw that body around, our offense gets a lot grittier.

Yeah, Mikowski is a big guy... and a Western New Yorker, high scorer, team player and not afraid to take a penalty. In his bio he says "...looking forward to playing Canisius this season." Yup... I'll bet he is.

Maybe he'll be the MacReynolds we've been missing since MacReynolds left.

Thompson tried to be that guy last year, but all he ended up doing was making dangerous hits and getting tossed out of games...not quite the difference maker that TMac was.
