I would argue even the Corner Crew had an off night Friday as well. For a team that I THINK is supposed to be our new best rival along with Air Force, you can't have this kind of effort.

Good to see the bounce back on Saturday. That was their first win when the opponent scores first all year.

What's funny is for all the angst the coaches and us have about the team, they are in 5th place in the standings and 4th place in winning percentage. Catching Robert Morris and Holy Cross looks to be a tall order right now, but it's a long season and have to take it one game at a time.

RMU's loss tonight should make that task a little easier. I'm thinking their fans are thinking 'WTH' is up with them too.

RIT has played four fewer games than Holy Cross and RMU.

Confusing names continue to come in. Brody Valette added to the commitment list. So we'll have Chase Norris, Brady Norris, Brody Valette, and Darren Brady.

AIC said it was the first home sweep in six years.

Rotolo was a bright spot on Friday, so not a surprise to see him on Saturday.

Wayne said on Saturday that it was really that the coaches didn't see Saturday coming. Practice was good and the boys seem ready, but their play was sloppy and their effort was poor. It maybe the result of such a young team, I think we all forget how young the team really is, they really are looking at a team that could dominate the league in the future.

Overall I don't think Wayne is ready to hit the panic button and is happy with the make up of his team. Being 1-5 at home as he put it was unacceptable. Yes they are not in a bad spot in the standings at this point, especially with games in hand. But you just get the feeling the team is even better than where they are in standings so that is always a little frustrating...

Is it just me or do pics of RIT games appear on the front page of USCHO with unusual frequency?

Probably because Omar Phillips is an awesome photographer and they don't get very many Atlantic Hockey pictures from places other than RIT.

My daughter is friends with Omar's daughter, and we shared this with him yesterday. Just thought you should know that it truly made his day to find out that fans here think so highly of his work!

I'm sure having 3 RIT guys who write, edit, and do so much more for uscho helps too. About time those 3 do something redeeming ;)

It's completely in the hands of the executive editor and the editors on duty game nights.

But yes, it's because Omar is an excellent photographer and there rarely are photos from anywhere else in the league.

If anything, this is one of the better starts to a season that RIT has head since the Burt/Madalora days. They're only 1 pt. away from 2nd place in the conference.
