I understand that Michigan is a lot better. My statement was more reflective of the lines and strategies RIT used. We finally did things that we should have been doing for years. We always, always had a man in front of the net. We made a lot of chances for ourselves, and we didn't take stupid penalties.
If we lose the games I don't think it will be for lack of offense. And I'm positive this team scores a lot this year. We gained more in Hamberg than we lost in Burt, that's for sure.

ok, ok. Let's not get carried away. Despite the Swiss Cheese defense Ottawa put up, there were many stretches of that game where it felt like (to me, at least) the Tigers weren't getting anything serious generated as far as scoring opportunities (reminiscent of last season except with more "early-season-sloppy", IMO). Aside from the goals, I can't remember too many "stand-on-the-head" type saves by the GeeGee goalies, despite the large shot total put up by RIT.
And don't forget ... Michigan >>>> Ottawa.
I certainly hope RIT can pull out a point or two this weekend, but it's going to take a much better effort and probably a bit of an off-day by the Wolverines for that to happen.
