Don't forget that the Friday game is being shown on the Big 10 Network

Section 324 for me at the Kohl tomorrow.

love to see games here. Always a good time with the craziness the Badger Students and fans pull off. All in Sync too. Last game i saw there was Minnesota vs Wisconsin....That was pretty crazy.

Well played game for the most part I'd say, just really unlucky on the penalty kills. We had a good comeback going, kinda fizzled, then that outrageous hit on Knowles and the proceeding brawl kinda wrapped things up.

Definitely a winnable game tomorrow night I think

mmmmmm with Ruby? The PK needs to step up. On second thought, stop taking so many dumb penalties. However, the second penalty (Wisconsins second goal), was a BS call from the refs which changed the momentum of the game.

That was the third penalty; we killed off two in the first period.

The game was much more evenly played than the score would indicate. I wonder if Wisco had set plays of the draws on those PP goals, and the RIT PKers just had no idea what they were going to do.

Re: >> RIT Tigers 2011-12 Part II: Making Some Noise at the House that Roars <<

I liked RIT's effort last night. I really liked how they didn't give up after the Badgers got up 4-1. But I think when RIT didn't score on their PP (tho I thought they had some decent chances) and then Wisconsin scored right after may have deflated RIT a bit.

I think the differance really was talent. Both teams played hard. Wisconsin was bigger and faster and generated better scoring chances.

There will be some lineup changes. Obviously Ruby gets in. I think Coach may sit Knowles for his part in the melee at the end of the game.

He didn't get a DQ? I'm shocked. Either way, I'm really glad Scotty did what he did.

What happened exactly?

What happened exactly?

He got completely layed out, refs didn't call it, Scotty went head hunting. Whether it was right or wrong, I know if my team was in that situation and I took an unnecessary hit like that, i woulda done the same thing haha.

It didn't get called because it wasn't a penalty.

I didn't think the hit Knowles laid on afterwards was bad either. Shoulder on shoulder. I'm not particularly sure why it got Wisco worked up.

I thought the Tigers played well overall. I think a couple of the goals Shane would like back as I thought they were kind of on the weak side. But overall a good effort.

Wisconsin remains really unlikeable. Solid effort - I hate to blame the refs but who knows what happens if the Tigers didn't have to (and fail to) kill off so many penalties. The refs did not call the same game both ways, unfortunately. Events like those at the end of the game happen when that's the case.

Even Strength: RIT 3, UW 3
PPGs: RIT 0, UW 3

Had the game been played at even strength throughout ... (whoever's fault that is, that's the required difference).

Or without rules!:D

Some interesting reading on the Wisconsin thread today.

Interesting is one word for it. Delusional comes to mind too. Meh. Unlikable fans to go with the unlikable team.

So I guess Wisconsin is the Canucks of college hockey. Unlikable fans and a very unlikable and entitled team. I suppose the only difference is the Wisconsin has won something when the Canucks have won nothing.

Don't see the comparison. Boston's far more unlikable than Vancouver from this neutral POV.

I could be a little biased towards the Bruins but there are plenty of guys on the Canucks who are unlikable. Lapierre and Burrows are a couple of punks. Hansen refused to answer today for spearing McQuaid in the Finals last year. In today's game Weise acted like he wanted to fight Shawn Thornton and then backed away trying to bait Thornton into a penalty (both of them got 2 minutes). Or could it be that six Canucks attacked Thornton right next to the Canucks' bench. It is a good thing they got rid of Raffi Torres cause he is a real *******. The only two guys on the Bruins I could really see people disliking at Lucic and Marchand, who are really guys you only like if they are on your team. Is there anyone else on the Bruins who is really unlikable?

As for the Canuck fans, there is only one word: RIOT.

Sorry to drag this off-topic

Let us not forget that the Canucks gave Tanev and Pinizzotto a chance..
