Classes started up again on Monday. I'd expect sellouts this weekend.

I think that move shook up more than just Burt and FAvot. Mazzei picked up his scoring and Brenner finished strong. RIT will be tought to beat in the AHA tournament.

That sort of move will wake up a whole team when players see that nobody is immune from being benched.

Jared DeMichiel was selected today for the NCAA Skills challenge. The other eastern goalie is Ben Scrivens of Cornell.

Two other AHA players are in: Andrew Volkening from Air Force is on the west team and Army forward Owen Meyer is on the east team.

I will say this...RIT does have a very good team...They have a really good defense which can also score.The offense is also good.They seem like they are the team to beat in the AHA. This weekend should be no problem against UConn...almost like a practice weekend ! Air Force totally destroyed Sacred Heart 2 weekends ago...SH can say it didn't matter...it does.Air Force looked good.HC against SH can be a very interesting weekend.I think if HC doesn't take stupid penalties,they can win this series. They have a very good defense...2nd in the league. They have to find ways to score. You can not give that 1st line the man advantage.Hopefully the league will force SH to get another rink to play in.That rink is a disgrace to D1 hockey !! AF wiil advance over Army. Mercyhurst should also advance !!

It would not be the playoffs if we didn't play Holy Cross at some point. ;)

I would not be surprised if 3 of the 4 quarterfinal series go to the full 3 games.

I've got tickets for Saturday's game against UConn.

I'm hoping for the place to be rocking and the brooms to be sweeping (I know, I know, one game at a time, etc., I'm still looking ahead to Saturday).

If you want to say hi, I'll be wearing a red RPI sweatshirt (I don't have any of my RIT gear with me this week), and am going to try to be there early enough to stand near the Corner Crew / pep band.

I can definitely see why you would not want HC to beat Sacred Heart. HC plays you guys very evenly.Think what you may, HC has a really good defense....right behind you guys ! just think...not one senior on the D. Always great games against you guys...no denying that. HC has a great chance this weekend. Reason people do not like you guys...from the fans, to the players, to the coach...You have NO CLASS.People wanted AF do good in the NCAA tourney...why...CLASS ORGANIZATION ! If RIT ADVANCES...NOT MANY PEOPLE WOULD ROOT FOR YOU TO WIN IN THE NCAA TOURNEY.

It's really a couple people trying to judge RIT based on 1 incident that RIT was partially (if that) in the wrong. Go to Chris Lerch's column from a couple weeks ago for more details and we have moved on.

I think it goes back to that poster from the first Atlantic regular season play that read attention Atlanic Hockey, we have arrived....

RIT has steam rolled into the Atlantic in a short while, only some playoff dissapointment has reduce the sting. I saw many out there are envious with hate...

If you're planning on standing near the corner crew, you better stop by the campus store and get yourself some orange. It's sort of a requirement, but well worth it. See you there.:D
