The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
For RIT, Canisius, and Mercyhurst, that is.
Union only has a meaningful D-III history with RIT. When Union was in ECAC West, Canisius was nothing worth writing home about (I know... what's so new about that?), Niagara was still 15 years or so from even having a team, and Mercyhurst was relatively new to ECAC West (only played each other once).
Niagara was only transitionally in ECAC West for two years. They did, however manage to very convincingly win the conference championship with a team of nearly all sophmores who were on their way to playing D-I full time the next season. Merely two seasons later they would make a stunning run to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament (beating - who else - New Hampshire 5-1) along with 30 wins when they were nearly all seniors.
