Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

Good morning. Anyone still scrambling at the last minute trying to file a tax reurn or get an extension?:)

Don't. Even. Start.

The last return this season came in at about 1:45 this afternooon. That's about 20 miles past ridiculous. I think the final count this year was 104 hours for the last week. Usually it's somewhere in the 90's.

I am tired. I am am extremely cranky. I am typing on a laptop that does not want to cooperate with my fingers. I think it's naptime.

So you're saying there's still plenty o'time to file a return.

Okay, but mine was filed weeks ago.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

St Paddy's Day is our (ok, the boss') self imposed deadline to get our taxes done.

Let it snow.......let it snow.....let it snow! :p

As of 4Pm according to my neice, the meteoroweatherguesser, the bulls-eye was on Mankato to Owatanna.

For me the deadline is mid-Feb, so I can use some of the tax return for the Final 5 (and this year the Frozen Four).

Yeah, let it snow. I still say we owe Mother Nature for the weather during the F4.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

I should be at least to Miami by the time it starts snowing here and with luck I will be into the Keys.

Have fun!

Sigh, my next venture out of town will probably be the Sh*Show in Houghton for mel's wedding. At least it will be in summer, so there's only a 30% chance of snow cover. ;)

Thanks.....will be fun. We've never brought the kids on a sping break trip so we're really looking forward to it.

You know what they do in Houghton during the summer?
They have a picnic.

Ba-dum-TA! :D
I'll be here all night and make sure you tip your bartender.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

We don't owe nature for anything. The winter was horrible enough.

Seriously, who even waits that long? I had mine filed during the first week of February.
Someone get this man a beer. A really big one.

Have fun!

You will see snow that weekend.

On Mt. Ripley. That shizz takes forever to melt.

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

The only reason I don't file in January is because it takes time to receive all the ****ing documents (1099s, etc) necessary to file. It'd be nice if these things were made electronically available within the first couple weeks of the new year, but no - some places remain committed to mailing crap out.

Greetings from Orange City, IA.

Tomorrow we will get to drive home during the snowstorm.

It's not supposed to change to snow 'til early evening here - and even then, it'll probably melt on contact for at least the first hour or two.

Ahh..perect..Mankato..I'm praying our meet tomorrow gets postponed!

Well, we got our golf meet in, pretty decent weather, no wind, but cool. Can't complain, we won, it was a huge win for us, we move to 3-0 in the conference!

It's been such a long day, looking forward to crawling into bed and watching the rest of this wings/coyotes game!

I found it kind of weird that tonight as I watched the Pens/Bolts game, that I'd be there watching college hockey a year from now..

Re: Rep Retirement Thread 133: I still hate you all

Hey Lodge.

Long weekend. I managed to get a trailer to pull around the yard with the 4-wheeler to haul leaves and wood and dirt and anything else that needs hauling. Also, found and bought a lawn mower. $400 for a sweet old John Deere, runs great, new bearings in the deck, newly sharpened blades and a new battery. I think I got a deal.

Saturday I was at the farm, where I got the trailer, which was a PITA to get in the back of the truck and hung off the back by about 3 feet. I helped my parents clean out a shed that is getting torn down and replaced with a newer, bigger one. I had a bunch of stuff in there, so I had to pick out what I wanted, and whatever I didn't want will just get buried with the rest of the building. Saturday night was my godfather's 50th birthday party, so that was a fun time.

I got home Sunday morning and raked leaves, then I raked leaves some more, after that I decided to keep raking leaves, and I'm only about 10% done. Ugh. My yard is a disaster. I don't think it has been raked in about 5 years, so there was matted down leaves that have killed the grass underneath, so now I have bare dirt spots where I've raked. I'm going to have to overseed all of my yard. On top of that, someone a couple years ago decided to stop mowing about half of the yard and let it grow up, now it looks like hell, so I'm going to try to mow it down and turn it into lawn again. A bunch of work left to do...
You know, didn't it used to be a tradition around here to suggest that somebody should just burn their lawn off instead of doing all that mowing work?? Honestly, taking a flamethrower across it would be a lot less work. Plus, then you won't have funky growth spots in the lawn from the spots that had the dead grass at. It would be much more even looking.

It is 12:04. Somebody get you a beer and let you curl up in a blanket til wednesday. You're now out of the Heart of Taxes!!!

had a pretty good day at Balance today. They wanted me to come in early for some training with hot stones. turns out I'm probably more qualified with hot stones than the head therapist there at Balance. She's never learned how to use cold stones or other deep tissue work with the hot stones like I have. Anyways, she just used me as a practice body, and I had two lovely ladies rubbing hot stones all over me today. :D Then I just watched a bit while she did a session on the other one, then I had to get started on the 4 other clients I had today.

Relatively drunk, not as bad as last night (which led to bad decisions being made, not being a DWI), but drunk. Day 8 of a scheduled 21 day streak. Wreckless has become my middle name.
