It is supposed to reach 90 here today, and there still is month before they turn the AC on.
If you lived in a less classy place, you would have a wall unit that you could turn on any time! :D

Weather chaned drastically, to say the least.:p

Two weeks of class left. Must. Finish. Strong.

Classy is relative, but I wouldn't describe it as classy. :p

They make air conditioners that aren't wall units? ;)

It isn't an air conditioner really. It's a convector which in the winter heats and the summer cools. We are now in the time of the year where it isn't doing either. "Cool" starts on May 15, independent of the weather.

What is an air conditioner?

Jeez, I figured even Sioux fans had at least HEARD of air conditioning. Did they have indoor plumbing where you're from? :p

And Ralph - convector cooling in DC? What happens to all the condensate? And they don't start the cooling until May in DC? I'd be in a different building before May in that case!

We have a similar system throughout campus, and they switched I to cool to weeks ago, 6 weeks ahead of schedule.

Hey mook, check out the Fenway thread. There's a fine photo of yours truly from 1987 out on Landsdowne Street. Ah, youth!
