Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

When I had a paper route in jr. high school I set my alarm (clock radio) for the Sunday morning route. I would wake-up just before it went off and turn it off then get right up. I have never understood the point of snooze. When it is time to get up, it is time to get up. If you have time to sleep longer, set the clock for later. When it's time to go, move your lazy arse.

So you set the alarm clock in your head? You're Reacher, who knew? :)

Hi Scarlet!

I have to admit, I'm like this. I cannot stand the snooze function--I either want to keep sleeping undisturbed or just get up. FM, however, is a serial snooze button user. We're talking "alarm set for 6:45, actually up at 7:30" type. Ugh.
Hi lodge. Went to the comedy club Saturday with some friends. The comedian did a bit that included math. I thought of the Lodge.

Also, it's official my parents love my brother more than me. They are moving to Texas. I will have no reason to visit my hometown in Maryland again. It feels like a part of me has gone missing.

:( Bummer, wT.

Hi, Lodge. I finally saw a doctor. I have what is either atypical Bronchitis, or RSV. We're still in "wait and see" mode to how I respond to antibiotics, but I'm actually starting to feel somewhat better.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

I need a couple snoozes to get me up in the morning. The alarm goes off at 6:51, two snoozes takes me to 7:09, and then I get up somewhere around 7:15.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

I laugh at you multiple alarm people. I only need one alarm every morning every day. Why would you need more than one? when it goes off just get up.

Yeah, I'm 6'-5", 240 and the toughest MF around, right? I'm reading "The Affair" right now.

No alarm clock in my head but if it's a regular wake-up time I wake up.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

I know the feeling of moving out of the childhood home allllll too well. It was pretty difficult knowing that when I get back from work this trip, there isn't really a 'home' now, just 'new house'. I'm guessing that will be the feeling until I get my own place, but even then who knows when that will come.

Just about finished supplying Greenville, MS with 84 octane gasoline and ULS diesel for another trip, should be headed back south by midnight.

Who still uses 84 octane in Mississippi? I've seen 85 octane, but that was in Wyoming and Colorado where the thinner air allows it to burn.

Glad you got the joke. :)

I'm a triple-snooze guy. I can set the alarm clock well out of reach, and sure enough, I still somehow manage to hit the snooze 3 times without knowing it. I set the alarm for 7:30 (the snooze time is 9 minute intervals), and actually wake up at 7:57. When I sleep, I SLEEP. Pretty much nothing short of a freight train crashing into my place can wake me up.

Those of you saying "why don't you just get up when the alarm goes off in the first place?" are all morning people aren't you?

Alarm set for 5:00, get up at 5:30.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

i snooze for a good 45 minutes or more.. girl slaps me, hits me. doesn't matter. i snooze.

It's raw-product. They add all sorts of stuff to make it usable in vehicles.

As for snoozing, typically, I set 4 alarms set at 5 minute intervals, and snooze set at 3 minutes. Theory being that if I hit snooze, I'll have a bunch of alarms going off. The new alarm did it's job this afternoon though, we'll see how it performs in the morning where I'm much more prone to sleep through it.

My clock radio goes off. Wakes me up, I lie in bed to listen. After about a half hour, I get up. I have on occasion fallen back to sleep for a few minutes while the radio is on. I can't be bothered with a snooze. Plus I can't see where it is when I get up - half awake, no glasses.

How come they didn't do an RSV nasal swab?

Day one of my conference went great. Met a bunch of people that I've been working for a while, but never met in person. Learned a bunch of stuff and realized that I'm already at the expert level at what i do. Good day.

Its a nice feeling, isn't it? :p

Working on building a document describing all that I've done to this point, I intend on asking for a grade promotion.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: What are you looking forward to in the offseason?

Normally, I get up at 6, go for a run, then come back and go to bed. Past couple days, I have struggled to get out of bed, not moving until 8 AM.

me and the snooze button have a good relationship... its more that i'm bargaining with it for more sleep.
