I looked up some info on phones. It sounds like there is going to be a new Droid coming out sometime soon, I think I'll wait to trade in until that comes out, so I get the newest and greatest.

I just had a classmate from South Florida challenge my hockey knowledge. He said intermissions were a half hour. He guaranteed it, even. :D

Technically, he's not wrong. Two fifteen minute intermissions during regulation play = one half hour.

I have always considered the PotY election year to be April 1 through March 31 of the following year.

2) 17 minutes. That's 34 (so you don't have to do the m-word). So, yes, he was still wrong. ;)

He also thought each team got one timeout per period. In his defense he had 7 8oz. beers before this and he can't hold his booze.

I think I had that equivalent (Premo talls) before 3pm (starting at noonish) last Saturday. Sheesh.

I'd say he drinks like a girl, but that's an insult to the girls I know, myself included.

Hi, Lodge. All the gifts from last Saturday just showed up, along with Flashy's dad and The Incredible Gulk. Brewfest tomorrow--hooray, beer!

Here's the drinking game that magically appeared on our desks with our scenario script and flight strips for next week.

Gary England Drinking Game

Pregame
1) Everyone selects a storm chaser other than Val Castor.

2) Select a county other than Pottawatomie County.

Take 1 drink when:
1) Gary talks to your storm chaser
2) Gary mentions your county
3) Gary says: Hook echo/updraft/metro/doppler radar/wall cloud/Ranger 9/underground/mobile home

Take two drinks when:
1) They show footage from your storm chaser
2) They show footage in your county
3) When Gary says: Baseball-sized hail/Waterloo Road/Pottawatamie County/Deer Creek High School
4) When Gary mentions one of the following towns: Altus/Burns Flat/Dill City/Gotebo/Hydro/Lookeba/Meeker/Mulhall/Oktaha/Olustee/Shattuck/Slaughterville/Tryon/Vici/Waukomis/Wayne/Weleetka/Wetumkah
5) Everytime Gary talks to Val Castor

Take three drinks when:
1) We see footage from Val Castor
2) We see footage from Pottawatomie County
3) Gary mentions: Immediate tornado precautions/National Weather Service/mesocyclone/portable radio/take shelter/tornado warning in effect until...

Take four drinks when:
1) Gary issues his own Tornado Warning, not recognized by the NWS
2) Says "Will someone please answer the phone?"/"Do you see power flashes?"
3) A shirtless victim is interviewed
4) Ranger 9 has to land to refuel

Finish your drink when:
1) Someone uses the word "tornado" as a verb
2) Gary mentions a cross street near you
3) Gary says "We've lost Val"...and don't forget to our a little out for your homies.
